whenever i run i get out of breath real easily so what can i do so i can run longer without getting so tired ?

Always in through the nose and out the mouth in a deep manner. If you are running on a track, try and make a mental note of different objects about 15-20 feet away your last breath so you know when to breathe again- deep breaths in through the nose and out the mouth. Running, in particular and other aerobic exercises increases our amount of lactic acid which in turns means less ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate- our main fuel) and oxygen getting throughout the body through the circulatory system, whereas when we breathe normally like we are right now we can produce about 36 ATP per glycogen body, when we operate without oxygen (Anaerobic) we can produce only about 2 ATP per glycogen body, so we have to take care to:
1.) Drink plenty of water before and after running as water is an important vessel inside the body
2.) It is recommended you eat a high glyemic index carb such as fruit before you run in order to give extra energy in the form of glycogen for your body

Start out slow for a little while then slowly gain speed this way you dont get out of breath so quickly.
If the problem continues you might want to see your doctor to get tested for asthma.
DancinCutie08 answered Sunday February 26 2006, 12:17 pm: that happens to me. i ended up going to the doctor and i found out i had activity induced asthma and i got an inhaler that helps a little.
what you need to do is start out with a slow short run and slowly increase your speed and distance. also running on a treadmill will prob allow you to go farther than if you ran outside during the winter. if it helps also try to drink alot of water before you go and and take some like allergy meds if you are stuffed up or whatever [ DancinCutie08's advice column | Ask DancinCutie08 A Question ]
TheLoveDoctor answered Sunday February 26 2006, 11:52 am: your best bet is to run at a slower more comfortable pace and slowly increase your speed like, after a few days or a week increase to a little bit faster pace. also if you run while listening to music it takes your mind off of your breathing and you won't have such a hard time, it may just be that you're thinking about it too much
Alin75 answered Sunday February 26 2006, 11:05 am: I agree with the answers below. I have in my time gone through some really bad fitness periods. What I did when I started to run was to go really really slowly. This worked much better for me than jogging normally until I couldnt go any further. So, when you get tired (or actually before you get very tired), slow down, jog almost at walking pace (but jog dont walk)... sort of like a really slow trot. Lol, people will stare but screw them.
Set a time goal for yourself. Say something like , I will jog for 15 minutes today (and just do it really slowly if you have to). I guarantee that within not too long you will be jogging at a normal pace.
Also make sure you have a good balance in your workout, meaning not too often and not too rarely. I would go about three times a week if I were you. That should optimise your recovery rate and performance imo. [ Alin75's advice column | Ask Alin75 A Question ]
