I think I am fat. I weigh about 116-120 pounds and am about 5"4. Is this overweight?
I don't have like ANY time at all to exercize, I do lose weight, but than I end up gaining it all back on. I can't wake up an hour earlier in the morning because I am already tired as is. I am busy like ALL the time. Does anyone have any way I could lose weight quickly, and wouln't take much time out of my schedual?
bakakitten answered Tuesday February 7 2006, 10:56 pm: Actually, you're nearly in danger of being underweight. At 5'4" and 116-120 pounds you're pretty thin. If you loose anymore you could have serious medical problems.
Did you know that the red cross won't even allow blood donations if you're under 115 pounds, because your body probably couldn't handle the little bit of loss?
I wouldn't worry about your weight if I were you, but if you want to feel strong and healthy, you should go get some small 3-5 pound weights (available at Walmart and various sports stores). Just pump your hand weights while you study or watch TV. Your muscles will look nice and toned, and you'll probably feel better! [ bakakitten's advice column | Ask bakakitten A Question ]
tcklebunni answered Sunday February 5 2006, 5:07 pm: If you're tired all the time, then all that work and walking and busy stuff that you're doing all day is obviously burning calories. If you still feel insecure about your weight after hearing this, then you should talk to a physician cuz this might be the beginnings of an eating disorder. amandax33 answered Saturday February 4 2006, 12:38 pm: You are far from overweight. But its your body and your decission! So if you want to lose weight i would stay away from fattening foods. (Chips, candy etc etc.) Stay away from Fried foods as well (Fried foods with grease). Eat healthy. Fruits,Vegtables. Low fat foods.
fish34 answered Saturday February 4 2006, 12:25 pm: That's not overweight at all. You are probably at a really healthy weight the way you are so I suggest that you don't lose weight! Many girls and women are insecure about their weight, try not to be like that. Don't give up your health to be what you or others think looks better, because nothing looks better than someone who is healthy!! [ fish34's advice column | Ask fish34 A Question ]
Basketball3846 answered Saturday February 4 2006, 8:03 am: okay well, first of all you are NOT fat. But if you still want to lose weight then I suggest Tae Bo. Yeah a lot of people make fun of it but truth is, it's a lot of fun and it gets you in shape and helps you lose weight. There are 4 different kinds of movies he makes including one thats an 8 minute workout. [ Basketball3846's advice column | Ask Basketball3846 A Question ]
KiSSxMYxPEARLS answered Saturday February 4 2006, 1:01 am: First off, your not even fat. Your seriously the perfect weight your suppose to be, so losing alot of weight can be really bad. But I guess you can just watch what you eat. Stay away from fried foods, junk food, anything that has flour, sugar, & soda. Eat veggies & some fruit; but not alot of fruit because it contains sugar. honu22 answered Saturday February 4 2006, 12:15 am: If you are still growing then you shouldn't worry. But let me tell ya, exercise is good even if you don't want to loose weight because it keeps you healthier. I understand if you have no time and usually you survive if you don't exercise. So you can just eat healthy. Haha.
P.S. Muscle weighs more than fat- my cousin is a big guy (but not fat) and he's a football player and I bet he weighs a bit more than his height too, but he's perfectly normal and healthy. [ honu22's advice column | Ask honu22 A Question ]

fasterFASTER answered Friday February 3 2006, 11:21 pm: in my opinion, that is DEFINETLY NOT overweight. i am 5'1 and already weigh 119. yes, i know i am over weight but i've been trying different ways to drop it. the best so far has been the "meat and vegitable" meals. i mean like chicken [without skin of course] and green beans. then in the afternoon [whenever you have time] you need to run either on a tredmill or down the street. i've lost 4 pounds in the last week on it.
if you decide to try it, or already have, i'd like for you to contact me and tell me how you're doing. i'm not sure but i think i'm dropping my weight too fast. maybe i'm not eating enough. but i'm always full. i'm not complaining but it may be a health concern.
MCalways answered Friday February 3 2006, 11:21 pm: To tell you the truth it is all in your head. No-one with those measurements is considered fat. I would kill to get down to that size, altho its harder bc im taller.
But if your still convinced you want to lose weight, do it the right and healthy way. Find the time to exercise. Walk instead of ride, bring healthy snacks w/ u insted of buying junk food out, and when you are eating at home.. cook healthy foods.. not fatty and oily foods. I think thats about it since you dont have time to really get a workout in!
whisperdawn answered Friday February 3 2006, 11:17 pm: Ok you r NOT fat!! For your height thas a pretty good weight. But if you MUST loose the weight try watchin what you eat and add nutritious things to your diet. try going to a gym maybe once a week or so.do little things like take stairs insted of an elevator(if thats an issue) go the extra mile, walk to school if possible the little things could add up and as for keepin it off then just keep track of what you eat and just try to exercse when u can...hope this helps! heart~~whisperdawn~~ [ whisperdawn's advice column | Ask whisperdawn A Question ]
greeneyedgirl9o answered Friday February 3 2006, 11:17 pm: First of all YOUR NOT FAT!!! 116-120 at 5'4 thats good, and slim not fat or overweight! If you feel you must loose some weight just ry eating healthier, peoples biggest mistakes are that they eat junk foods, sodas, chips, candy, its all unnecessary.
