My school just changed its boundres. I am the only one of all my freinds thats going to a different school. this has been the best year of my life cuse my bffs were there and now im never going to see them again. when ever my freinds have moved or something we both said that we would keep in touch. well that never happened. i dont want that to happen to my bffs again. so what should i do? these are my BEST FREINDS IN THE WORLD!!! i dont want to lose them. im 14 and going into 9th grade. thanks for the help.

well theres nothing you really can do, except stay in touch! if they truly are your best friends you will! all you have to do is make an effort, plan things with them, talk online, send emails, comments, messages, you know just stay in contact with them. if you make it your priority to stay friends with them then you will. good luck!

If you live in such a beautiful place like florida, why not go to the beach? take a day with your boy and go out on the beach, pack a picnic or bring some money and go out to lunch! or if you dont want to go to the beach do something outdoors, end it romantically by bringing a homemade meal ... im telling you picnics are romantic! good luck, tell me if you need more ideas!

I think I'm allergic to the wax or lotion my salon uses or something, cause the last few times I went I got a little bit of hives and then I got a lot of pinples near my eyebrows. Should I try a new salon, or should I try threading?

I get that too, but dont put pimple stuff on it!! i did that and it got soo much worse!!! you get it from not being used to the wax, dont worry all salons will do it to your skin, if yours is like mine you get the pimple looking reaction above your eyebrows not below, so what i did was tell the lady to wax everything but the spots that get the reaction! it works and nothing shows up! good luck!

theres many differences heres a few main things:
1. true friends accept you as you, and dont attempt to change you
2. true friends are people you are very comfortable with and could even open their fridge and get food out for yourself without feeling embarrassed
3. true friends will stand by you
4. true friends you really just know, you have a feeling of complete and utter happiness for the most part, you feel home with them

I think that the definition varies depending on the person. See, my advice is that you go out and rent the movie, "Chasing Amy", the movie is about a guy who falls for a beautiful, artistic, women, whos also a lesbian. And obviously that relly doesnt have to do with you, but theres this scene in the movie that is the women, whos the lesbian, and the man whos in love with her talking about your very question. They have some very good points, and the movie is really good for your question, i think it would help you more than me paraphrasing my thoughts! good luck, and you shouldnt feel embarrassed, its a complicated thing.

ok there is this friend (who is a guy and i am a girl) and he is so funny! but latley he has been calling me so we can hang out. And he keeps on saying on how much me loves me. I think he means it in a friend way but im not sure. And I had a dream when me and him were going out and it did not freak me out. Do you think i like as more then a friend or not? well guys are tricky, but ill get back to him in a minute, we'll start with you. having a dream about a guy friend, doesnt necessarily mean you like him, but it could mean you have some feelings toward him. i had a dream about me and my bestfriend, who is a guy, kissing and it totally freaked me out because i actually liked the dream a little. but then a few months later i ended up liking him alot. so just because you have a dream about him doesnt mean you like him, if you like him will become obvious to you when you do, so dont worry. now for him, id say their are feelings there, guys dont usually say i love you to just any girl. infact the guy i told you about who i liked, tells me that all the time now because we're best friends, but he didnt start telling me that til now and im almost 16 (weve been best friends since we were 3!). soo guys can be odd about theyre feelings, but in your case i think he likes you, it could just be a crush or he might really be in love. good luck! I want to make my own clothes. I don't have much money to buy clothes so I figure this would be a cheap alternative. I have some experience with sewing. I hand-sewed a stuffed animal in teh 6th grade and I manually (sewing machine sewed) a bag with pockets and drawstrings last year. I don't have a sewing machine. So I was wondering where I can get a good inexpensive one; fabric for clothes; patterns to make teh clothes and other stuff I would need to make the clothes.
I also want to know how exactly to make clothes. Anyone with clothing making/ design experience would help. Any additional information will help also. Thank you. (websites are nice too) (link)

well its really cool you want to do that, i actually got a sewing machine this past christmas because i love designing and making cloths. so far ive made a dress and a few jean skirts (ive been busy so nothing big yet, but i plan on making my own prom dress for my first prom next year!). and yes it is much cheaper than anything else. my suggestion is go to joanne fabrics, they have the cheapest fabrics, sewing supplies, sewing machines, etc. (they have a website if there isnt one by you). and sign up for sewing lessons for machine sewing at G-street fabrics, its a little bit more expensive but its worth it, because theyre the best! good luck, and good choice, making your own clothes is AWSOME!

well girls are very complex ... see they love attention they love to feel loved. however they dont like being crowded, they like theyre space too. anyone can understand that, sometimes girls need their alone time or their friend time. if you give them too much attention, they might think that you dont trust them, like you dont want to give them space because your worried tha theyre going to cheat on you or something crazy. or if you give them too much attention they might think your like taking things too seriously or being stalkerish. orrr they might think that your attention is fake, too much good just be you pretending. so if i were you id apoligize for being to clingy and maybe give your girlfreind like 20$ or so and tell her to go out with her friends and have a girls night out. shed love that you cared that much about her, and thought about her feelings. after talking about it, just back off a little, now still give her attention just within reason! good luck, your obviously a good boyfriend, since you cared enough to get advice! hey hunny. It's Becky again. Everything has been going great, except he still doesn't believe that I love him, which is gay. Cuase everyone else can see that I am madly in love with him. I just wish he could see it. I mean I just don't know what to do to show him that I honestly do love him. I know he loves me, I mean he hasn't had none((sex or head)) since he started talking to me. We have been talkin for a year and two months, but he hasn't done anything seen the first time he saw me((2 years ago)). my hair is a little longer than shoulder length.
i have very drastic layers and side bangs.
my hair is naturally wavy, just a little.
i have 2 questions::
my hair only dries curly when i let it air dry. is there any thing that i could put in my hair [wet or dry] that would make it wavy/curly but so i can blow dry it???
and secondly, my hair grows VERY slow and i want my hair longer, is there anything that i could use to make it grow faster?

for your first question, try 1st putting mouse in your hair that enhances curls, then blow dry with warm or cool air, hot air straightens it. and for your second question there isnt really anything that makes your hair grow faster, just trim your hair regularly and take really good care of it! good luck!

Ok so I have this splash party thing at the end of the year its on june 5th. But I get my period on the 2nd day of every month and lasts about a week. What should I do? I dont use tampons yet so how could I ever swim? What will I tell people if they don't see me swimming? Please help!

the best advice i can give you is try using tampons, you have a month almost, and you dont have to be on your period to try. trust me i went through the same thing with my swim team! its hard but you cant give up, it took me like 5 months to become fully comfortable with them. good luck

hey, I have swimming in gym in about 5 days. I used to be a cutter and I still have the scars on my arms. I don't want anyone to see the scars. I am no longer injuring myself, but the scars are very noticable. Can anyone give me advice as to how to hide the scars in the pool? Thanks so much. I will rate high for good answers.

there isnt a good way i can think of, you could try finding water proof makeup/coverup and put it on your arm. but i think that if you talk to your gym teacher, and have your parents sign a note excusing you, then you wont have to participate! good luck sorry i couldnt help more!

I am 14/f and i'm 5'6" I hate being tall so much. I'm going to grow more and i bet I'll end up like really tall. I don't really knwo for sure, but to me most of the pretty people are short. i am so self concious about it!! I wish i could be 5'4" and stay that way for ever. I think about it every day and it makes me really sad. How can i get over this. i'll rate high (link)

hey dont worry, tall people are awsome. trust me you dont want to be short, im 5'2 and it sucks. you can do basketball, dance, track, anything, being tall is an advantage! plus you will feel better when your older and the guys get taller, then you will be shorter than them again! dont worry!

So I have this friend I've had for a couple of years, and today we were in his room and he got a bit "touchy-feely" and kept asking for hugs and stuff. Usually he's not like this at all. Anyway, soon as I was about to leave he went to kiss me on the cheek.. and I kissed him on the lips.. not knowing he was just going for the cheeks. lol. We kissed for about 20 seconds, then I broke it off... and said goodbye and went home. Well I feel really weird about it now, partly because I enjoyed it and yet he's been a friend for a long time. I don't regret it though. But I'm the type of person who takes kissing someone pretty seriously.
I know this kind of thing is pretty common, and I shouldn't let it affect things between us. I don't really want a relationship right now. However.. not sure whether we should just let this go, put it behind us.. or whether we should do the whole "Friends with benefits" thing.

you may not want a relationship right now but friends with benefits isnt the answer! im saying this because becoming friends with benefits never works out, theres always one of the people who get feelings and become attached and want the relationship to become more. dont get caught up in that, you may end up wanting more and he may not, and then it hurts alot, and you deffinitly dont want that. if anything, consider a relationship with this guy, think to yourself did you enjoy it, do you want to do it again, do you deep down feel more for him? and then after thinking about those things, see what his reaction to this situation is, dont do anything until you see how he feels about it. maybe if you both want more, he will wait til your ready for a relationship. and make sure to stay friends, thats really important! good luck, and tell me how it works out!

there are these things that my mom buys me when i have what you have. there like cough drops, but the difference is they have zinc in them, just go to the CVS or whatever you have in your town, and get some cough drops with extra zinc, it makes your cold/illness go away ... and the way you can tell is when your sick they taste like whatever flavor you got, like strwberry, however when you get better, they start to taste kind of chemical/funny tasting! good luck, hope you feel better!

you could be athiest, however i wouldnt worry too much infact i feel the exact same way, i really dont know how to believe in something that noone can provce even existed or someone who is all from stories. to me its almost like believing in ghosts. i talked to my dad about it and he said that its fine, because im at such a age that its hard to believe. i think once you experience something mind-blwing, like love, marriage, seeing a baby born, etc your going to believe!

My whole grade thinks im a slut because they believe stupid rumors people start.
Ok so my story: i hooked up with a guy ive like for a year last friday about 5 times. It was us and one of our good friends at his house. Well that saturday he asked me out and i said yes so hes my boyfriend now. when monday came our grade cought wind of it and starting making stuff up like i gave him a blow job and hand job and all this stuff and im such a slut when i wouldnt do that anytime soon! im like prude compared to most in my school!!!
so people have bets like "well if she didnt give him a blow job yet she probably will by the end of the week" and "theyre just going out to hook up." or "theyre like SUCH a bad couple"
were not!!!!!!!!! hes the best boyfriend i have ever had i really like him SO MUCH but what if he cant handle it and looses his friends and stuff. hes going to break up with me i think soon if this continues. now i dont know for sure but maybe. i dont know what to do. i need to talk to him ASAP but any advice?

i think itll be fine, dont worry the rumors ill fade and your boyfriend sounds like he wont just dump you for that. just talk to him aout the rumors ask him to help you fight back, and just relax, if his friends are good friends they wouldnt be talking about him behind his back. good luck and trust me, rumors fade and its best to ignore them.
