Ok so I have this splash party thing at the end of the year its on june 5th. But I get my period on the 2nd day of every month and lasts about a week. What should I do? I dont use tampons yet so how could I ever swim? What will I tell people if they don't see me swimming? Please help!

CiNdYLoUwHoO answered Tuesday May 16 2006, 9:35 pm: Try and use tampons. Trust me, they are the greatest invention ever made and they make life so much easier. If that still doesn't work, your period stops in the water, so you can still go swimming. Just make sure when you leave the water you put a pad on ASAP so you don't leak. Hope this helps.

KELLY_ELIZABETH answered Tuesday May 16 2006, 9:27 pm: first off june 5th is the bestest day since forevr. [ its my birthday =) ]. anyway - i reccommend try using tampons. they arent hard - and if you know what your doing you will be just fine. if you dont use tampons, you could always wear a pad but if you go swimming or even get pushed in - it will look like a diaper. if you decide not to go swimming you could always tell people that you dont feel good, you just dont feel like swimming, you dont want to get really wet [ and just put your feet in ] ect. im sure you'll think of something. but, like i said - i reccomend using tampons. any questions - leave one in my inbox.
greeneyedgirl9o answered Tuesday May 16 2006, 9:24 pm: the best advice i can give you is try using tampons, you have a month almost, and you dont have to be on your period to try. trust me i went through the same thing with my swim team! its hard but you cant give up, it took me like 5 months to become fully comfortable with them. good luck [ greeneyedgirl9o's advice column | Ask greeneyedgirl9o A Question ]
