hii. i think i am fat i weigh 141 and i dont like the way i look so im thinking about becoming anerixic for just a few weeks to shed some pounds. But i heard it can be dangerous

Just take what you eat and make it smaller portions. Maybe eat a light breakfast and then have a normal lunch. Just cut your foods down and read how much sugar and fat they contain and if they contain alot, jsut don't eat them. Just focus on much healthier foods and try to exercise more. In the morning before you go to school ( or if you walk to your bus stop or to school ) try jogging and then slowly turn jogging into running after awhile. Talk to your parents about wanting to lose weight. Have them make a special dinner for you with good healthy foods and ask them to buy less junk foods so you don't get the urge to eat junk. They can really help you. And your friends too. Just don't even try to be anorexic. No good comes of it. Whenever peopke are anorexic, they think "oh i'll become skinnier and then i'll be prettier and more people will like me". Some people who are anorexic are ( sorry ) but scary. They are SO SKINNY. I can competley see their bones and it looks like they could like, snap in half. Like I said.. no good comes from it at all. So please try my suggestion. I hope I helped!

That is definitly not a good idea. You can't just decide to become anorexic first of all..its a mental illness that causes you to physically harm yourself..your pretty much just trying to lose weight by means of starvation which could lead to the development of anorexia (which is extremely hard to get rid of once your hooked) And there are soo many health risks that follow up with anorexia..
NOT a good choice..try dieting..don't starve yourself..thats discusting and dangerous..i dont want to sound mean..but it is a serious topic and i shouldnt let it go easily..
Just please rethink your descision..instead of starving yourself..try getting on a serious diet..and start exercising..that is a healthy way to shed a few pounds..and if their are specific parts of your body that have a little extra fatt..well their are plentyy of workout videos with instructions that can help you rid yourself of those burdens..for instance..if you have a huge saggy tush..use the butt busters routine (huge hit in the 80's)..ok well pleasee pleasee do not resort to anorexia..

try going to a gym if you honestly think your fat. fasting isnt going to help it only makes things worse. why would you do something dangerous if you new it was dangerous?

So, if you do it for a few weeks your just going to gain weight...and if you do it for a long time..you'll start feeling weak and you'll have extreme stomache pains. It's a state of mind. It is VERY dangerous to your health and you can DIE from it. I VERY, VERY strongly suggest you eat right, and excersize properly to lose weight. And if you are 'anorexic' for a few weeks, you will put the weight right back on when you start eating again because your body has no nutrients, vitamins, fuel to keep it going, etc. It's going to take whatever you have and turn it into fat as soon as you start eating again. skippy_pebbles answered Monday November 7 2005, 9:48 pm: Well, I don't know how tall you are, so you might me just fine. What you should do is cut out soda and as much sugary stuff as possible. Drink alot of water and juice and stuff like that. Instead of fatty and oily foods, try fruits ,vegetables, or half calorie things. Also, try not to eat a big meal twice a day, but eat small things every two or three hours. Every night you could try doing excersises like push-ups, crunches, jumping jacks, running, and really anything else that gets you moving.

I have been wanting to lose some wieght too, so what im going to do is jog every day instead of going on the computer all the time cause im on the computer 24/7 and dont get my hw done and not getting enough exercise. Maybe the carb diet is right for you, my mom lost over 100 lbs on that.
But you cant "become anorexic for a week" You can starve yourself, but you will probably fail and end up overeating because you are so hungry, and thats really bad for you.
And if you do that, you might become addicted like anorexic girls are and thats really unhealthy because Im sure you've seen pictures of after effects. These girls are dangerously underweight, yet they still think they need to lose weight. It can result in death. Plus it will make you grow hair all over your body to help reserve body heat. There are so many bad effects.
