Courckypooh answered Thursday November 3 2005, 7:26 pm: Take a pair of REALLY REALLY REALLY pointy tweezers. Gently get the cap off.
When you do, squeeze the shit out of it.
When pus/zit crap starts coming out, get the tweezers back out and pull it out and wipe the tweezers with a piece of (clean) tiolet paper.
Continue until you get the hard core part of the whitehead. After that part it will bleed, so take another piece of clean toilet paper and apply pressure to your new wound.
Let it heal. DO not pick off the scab unless you didn't get everything a few days later. After it scabs over, it may still be red, so you can apply makeup to it.. but only after it scabs over or else you might get a relapse.

AnneNonimous answered Wednesday November 2 2005, 12:03 pm: Hi There. I had some pretty heinous acne as a teenager and tried many products, including ones prescribed by my dermatologist. I'm in my twenties now and while it has improved, I still have breakouts around my period.
I tried proactiv and didn't have positive results. The fragrance was too strong and I didn't like the way it left my skin feeling. I became irritated and had to stop using the product before my skin cleared up.
I recently tried another "informercial" acne product called Murad Acne Complex and I've been really pleased with the results. My sensitive, dry skin is in great condition and my face has really cleared up.
I would recommend trying this as a long-term solution.
Melanie4981 answered Wednesday November 2 2005, 11:44 am: HI there,
DON'T POP IT!! If you do it'll scab over then you'll have a big ugly scab!!
The best thing to do it's to clean it with warm water and then dab on hydrogen peroxide. If you skin is too sensitive for harsh chemicals then dab on a little tee tree oil!
This normall dries them out overnight!
Also make sure you don't touch it then touch anywhere else as it may spread the bacteria and give you another!
mooch789 answered Wednesday November 2 2005, 12:07 am: You don't want to pop it because it'll leave an ugly scar behind. Wash your face at least 3 times a day to clean out your pores and that should do it. [ mooch789's advice column | Ask mooch789 A Question ]
lulabelle answered Tuesday November 1 2005, 11:06 pm: What you do is soak a face towel with hot water (as hot as you can stand). Lie down and cover your face with it. When the towel cools down, do it one more time. Then, you lightly try to squeeze it with clean fingers. If it doesn't pop you can repeat this process a few more times but if you can’t get it to pop stop. It shouldn’t be hard. If you feel light pinching it is ok. There should be no nail indentions on the skin. If it pops easily yea! Whichever way it goes, popped or not, you want to lightly cleanse your face, then use plenty of a solution of 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide (Oxy or Clearasil) on your entire face. The final step is use an adequate amount of oil free moisturizer over the entire face. You will end up with excellent complexion.
cheddar answered Tuesday November 1 2005, 10:24 pm: you should wash your hands, pop the pimple, wash your face, and then put an acne cream on it. don't put toothpaste on it because it can really dry out your skin and make it look worse. hope i helped. :) [ cheddar's advice column | Ask cheddar A Question ]
Shortcake22 answered Tuesday November 1 2005, 10:05 pm: Clean and clear spot treatment acne remeover will get rid of it fastest. Toothpaste makes the redness go way down, but it wont get rid of it. It will help hide it though! [ Shortcake22's advice column | Ask Shortcake22 A Question ]
