Breast Cancer??
Okay I'm 13 years old and a female. Yesterday I noticed a small bump on my left breast, near the nipple. It sometimes hurts when I touch it but it also looks somewhat like a pimple. I'm really worried that this could be breast cancer. There is no history in my family of having breast cancer. Do you think it's cancer?

well, its unlikely that you have breast cancer, but if i were you, i would tell your mom. she might know if its a pimple or somthing else. if she dosent know, go to a doctor. hope i helped

Well... I wouldn't know. But you should say something to your mom or dad. And you should go to a doctor just to be safe.

If it looks liek a pimple, then it doesn't really sound like a tumor, but you shouldget it checked out anyway, just in case. It's betetr to be safe than sorry, and if by some chance it is cancer, they have more of a chance of getting rid of it if they catch it early, so go ahead and get it checked out.

the cause of cancer is unknown... sometimes its hereditary & at other times it isn't... it wud be best for you to get a mammogram ASAP... almost any type of cancer is treatable as long as it is caught it an early stage... tc & get well soon... lettme know how things go for you...

im sure it is nothing to worry about,i dont think you would get breast cancer at 13 thats a little young i never heard of it.. but if it continues to hurt you then tell your parents and go to the doctor they will examine it and let you kno what it is

I dont think its breast cancer. Its really rare for a 13 year old to get it. If i were you id get it checked by your mom or a doctor just in case. Its probably just acne... which is normal.

Well .. hopefully its not.. it probably is nothing to worry about.. but you shouold tell your mom and ask her to bring you to the doctors. A lot of people are saying you cant get breast cancer this young .. but actually you can .. you can have a tumor before cancer and if the doctors catch it soon enough then youll be saved from cancer !

its most likely not breast cancer. i dont beleive you can get breast cancer if you havent started your period yet. i dont know if you have or not, but its just a thought. your breast are still developing, and that mignt add to the feeling of uneavenness. it also may just be a pimple. i know i get them sometimes in that region, as well as many other girls. dont be embarrased to ask your mom; moms get amazingly flattered when you ask them shit like that. oh well, that the best i could do.

no, but get it checked out anyways. most women get BC after the age of 40(menopause), so your chances are pretty darn good

Aw sweetie I dont think its cancer at all. I think its just acne on your breast because you sweat - or maybe its an allergic reaction (sometimes theyre painful). You could try a different body wash, maybe an exfoliating one. Wear clothes that breathe better, or try a new detergent for your clothes! If it doesnt clear up, soon, get it checked with your doctor - just so you can be SURE and you can stop worrying. =] Hope I helped!

I asked my mother, who's a nurse. She says it's extremely unlikely that it's breast cancer--it normally doesn't happen in people as young as you. It's probably a pimple and should go away in a few days. She also says, though, if you're worried about it and want to make sure, you should go to the doctor. They'll take a look and make sure it's not cancer. It's better to be safe than sorry.
My mom also says Bravo for doing breast self-exams. It's really good to look over your breasts every few months or so no matter what your age is. Doing that can catch breast cancer really early.

Don't panic. It probably isn't as at thirteen, you are unlikely to develop breast cancer :) Keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't change a lot or grow. If it does, go to the doctor.
I'm no expert but personally...if it IS cancer (which is very unlikely so please don't stress!!), showing up above the skin then it is more likely to be skin cancer than breast cancer. Breast cancer isn't even noticeable (as you can't feel it) until the lump is quite big and then it is inside the breast. It's most likely NOTHING at all to worry about, but like I said, keep an eye on it. You should be fine!

Its perfectly normal. If it worries you then have it checked by a doctor to ease your worry. But all girls get them. :)
