Yes it is. But your hair will still some what damange. But trust me those straigtens work like a charm ! Expecially the CHI ones. There very easy to use. But they get very hot. And your hair will come out great !!! hope I helped <3

YES!!! MUCH BETTER! theyre also a lot more expensive, but i've had mine for two and a half years and its worked perfectly, until i dropped it really hard about a week ago, but if i hadnt im sure it would still be working great! buy the HAI stick!
