a friend can be anybody that you like and talk to (like an aquaintance), but a best friend is the one that's there for you, and with you ALL the time, and knows everything about you...but hangs out with you anyway. lol. Hope that helped!

A best friend you can trust with anything. They're someone who you no longer has to worry about judging you. A friend is someone you get along with and definetly have fun with, but you're not as trusting of them as you are with a best friend.

Well to me a friend is like a back up. See your best friend is someone you can tell your secrets to, helps you when your sad, calms you down when ya mad, and will be there for you no matter what. And a friend is, well not as good as a best friend but at least having someone to talk to when your BEST friend ain't there.

Your best friend knows you better than you know yourself and you trust them alot more and can tell them more things. Basically friends come and go, but best friends are there through everything. & sometimes it takes a while to distinguish between the two.

a bestfriend is someone who you have that connection with on almost all topics i think....not meaning you agree on everything but you guys can talk about everything without bitching @ eachother....and you have a special spot for her in heart...she sticks out from the rest i guess

Well, for me, friend is just a friend. Friends, they're nice to us. Bestfriend, is the one we can share stuffs with. Bestfriend understands your feelings. Bestfriend knows you more than anyone else. Bestfriend won't tell your secret to anyone. Bestfriend will always love you just the way you are. Bestfriend gives you advices. Bestfriend helps you when you have troubles. Well, a best friend is "more" than a friend. Out of all of your friends, you consider this one the "best" and you are closer to them. They should have the qualities you want in a best friend, like honesty, trust, etc.

A best friend is someone you can drink Code Red Mountain Dew with and party all night, then the next morning watch a sappy movie and want to cry. A best friend is someone who helps you grow in all areas of life, and can help stimulate you intelectually, metally, physically, spiritually and in all other aspects. No matter what happens, it's impossible to hate, spreading rumors is simply a don't, and more times than not you'll put a stop to a nasty rumor.
A best friend is not truly describable. It is a feeling deep inside your heart. :-)

People have different characteristics and ideas they have for a "best friend" but for me its someone thats alot closer than just a friend. One you can burp in front of, tell your secrets to, and your just really close. A friend to me is someone you talk to at school or wherever and you hang out sometimes but your not as close as a "best friend". But thats just my idea. Everyone's is different.

think about this...if you some how end up in jail who would you call...your friend or your best friend...you would call your friend because your best friend would be in there with you...in other words your best friend would be there for you and with you all the time. see i dont know about you but i go by real friends and best friends my real friends are the ones that would be there for me, know everything about me, and i could tell them my secrets because i know that they would never tell anyone. but as for my best friends they would be the one that has slumber partys with you and knows some of your secrets but then turns around and starts rumors and backstabs you.

In my opinion a friend is someone you like hanging out with, you feel comfortable with, you know some of eachother's secrets, but you sometimes get on eachother's nerves! A best friend is someone who you tell anything, whenever you hear the word friend they pop into your head first, someone you always feel like chillin with, you know you could never live without them, and whenever your mad or sad you call them to make you happy!
