I am throwing my best friend a surprise party. She's a girl, 16. I already sent out the invitatations to all of her girlfriends, but I can't decide if I should invite boys or not. She is not friends with very many guys, and the 3 or 4 she is friends with may not even all be friends with each other (I don't really know all of them well). I don't know if I should invite them or not, because they aren't even people she hangs out with outside of school, and I don't know if it would be awkward for them to be there. However, I think that the party should have boys, I mean we are 16 years old. What should I do?
Additional info, added Monday July 11 2005, 4:42 pm: oh yea I forgot to add- the thing is i don't think that either of us are the most outgoing people (we are NOT shy, just not friends with a ton of guys outside of school) but alot of the girls we are friends with are, so I alomst feel like they wouldn't like it if guys weren't there. I know this party is for my friend, so it should be about her, but for some reason I keep worrying about that!. Want to answer more questions in the Relationships category? HEARTXBREAKER answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 4:57 pm: I think that you should invite them. I mean it would give her a chance to make some guy friends, and if there's anyone she has a crush on, INVITE HIM! Plus, it'll be a lot more fun, because you guys would be able to dance and stuff. Unless you were planning on doing girly stuff like makeovers and stuff. In which case you can still invite guys, just wait until they go home to do that stuff. Hope I helped!
MissBeautiful678 answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 10:51 am: maybe you should invite your friends friends that are guys so then they can start hanging out outside of school .. maybe tell the girls to bring like a guy to the party so that way there will be more guys and the girls have guys they can hang out with [ MissBeautiful678's advice column | Ask MissBeautiful678 A Question ]

chelly answered Monday July 11 2005, 12:00 pm: Well If she has a sister or brother that are close to her age you should ask them. But I think that you should just invite everyone that she is cool with. Or kinda ask her who she likes so you could invite them.
Well this is helpfull.
If your paents let you then you should just have an opend party.
You and her will have a blast
Just make a couple of fliers about 100 so you have xtra.
I think that your old enough to have a flier party.
twistedsister17 answered Monday July 11 2005, 11:54 am: Well, think about what your friend would do. Would she want guys there? Is she comfortable around them? Then ask yourself, Are you comfortable around these guys? Well, if the answer is yes, go ahead and invite them! Just invite a couple of her close guy friends, not like the whole school. lol [ twistedsister17's advice column | Ask twistedsister17 A Question ]
