Actually YES! If you drink water it speeds up your metabolism, which in return burns more calories. That keeps them from reaching the liver and being converted into fat cells. And after all of that is burned up (glycogen) then it starts burning the fat that your body has previously stored. But I will warn you, if you drink A TON of water it can actually poison you and you can die. But you should have to worry about that, I mean really really do have to drink water 24/7 literally. 6 to 10 full glasses daily will burn a few 100 extra calories daily. Hope I helped.

xoxo
Jen

well, there are limits to drinking a lot of water.. but in controlled cases it can help with your weight problem. water is a definite must to keeping hydrated, and healthy. so instead of all those sugary drinks, choose water.
drinking lots of fluids makes you havta pee. and really, peeing is something that can help you lose weight. drinking and/or peeing too much can definitely lead to minor health problems, but within moderation can be successful.
cutting back on sodas, most junkfood, and very sugary foods will increase the possibility of your weight loss. if you exercise daily, and continue to eat healthy, than your chance of losing those pounds are enormous. but keep in mind, that you have to stick to the diet once you start. my suggestion would be to start slow, and gradually work with the new eating plans and what-not.

i know its probably more than you wanted, but i hope it helps. =)

If you give up sodas, cokes, juices and other drinks then drinking only water will definitely help you lose some pounds. Drinking lots of water and still eating whatever you want will not help you lose weight though. Hope we helped =)

exton answered Wednesday July 6 2005, 9:00 pm:
No, it won't. In fact, if you drink too much, it will harm your health.

Your only option is to decrease your intake of sugary foods, and exercise about 30 minutes every day. Sugary foods are very fattening, and exercise - providing you are consistent for months - will help make your metabolism become more efficient, thus preventing you from regaining your weight quickly.

Remember, you MUST exercise; if you diet without exercise, you will gain the weight back once you stop dieting. Rollercoasting weight is worse for you than being fat.

Water is good for you but if ALL you drink is water, it can be a bad thing. Eat things like fruits and vegetables and drink something like slim fast or another diet drink. Also, you can try non-fattening cereals with the G on it. Those work good! They make you lose weight, trust me. I mean, it worked for me.
Best of luck!
Hope I helped!

Michele answered Wednesday July 6 2005, 8:50 pm:
Yes, but not by itself. If you replace soda and other sugary drinks with water, that is a great thing, and will make a difference. Water also helps to wash the fat and toxins away.

I really doubt it. But if you excercise you will loose alot of weight. But the one thing I've learned is that if you exercise to loose weight, you have to do it every night for a while for it to work. Just keep it up and you will be cool. I hope I helped, and remember, my inbox is always open. Please rate!
