Miss_Lily answered Monday April 18 2005, 1:45 am: No, it is not safe. You are putting yourself at a higher risk of getting Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). You should wait to insert a tampon when you are on your period, and always use the lowest absorbency possible. [ Miss_Lily's advice column | Ask Miss_Lily A Question ]

Karen answered Sunday April 17 2005, 10:59 am: Yes, it is safe inserting a tampon in when you don't have your period. Just take it out after you do it because there is a type of syndrome that you can get which is Toxic Shock Syndrome if you do this all the time for a long time but there is a small chance of you getting that. If you only do this once for practice, then you're fine. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
rainbowcherrie answered Sunday April 17 2005, 8:27 am: It is safe but only if you make sure you take it out straight away and don't leave it in. If you DO leave it in then you are at risk of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) and trust me, you really don't want that. [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]
