LoveNJstyle answered Saturday March 26 2005, 9:10 am: LUKEMIA?! wow, no sweetie. it might not be good for your sight but lukemia is in your bones/bloodstream and the light has nothing to do with it. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
karenR answered Saturday March 26 2005, 3:05 am: Who told you that? No. Won't give you anything but a high electric bill! Mom and dad would probably like it if you could try and shut it off, but it won't hurt you. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
gakkuhideto answered Saturday March 26 2005, 12:46 am: Well lukemia is cancer right? And these days, pretty much everything causes cancer.
But even if it didn't, using that light takes electricity, and electricity mostly comes from nuclear power plants. If the nuclear power plants were to meltdown, we would all have cancer, and our babies would all have interesting yet horrible mutations. So...save the world, save electricity. Turn your light off before going to sleep. =) [ gakkuhideto's advice column | Ask gakkuhideto A Question ]
Brunettesweetheart2468 answered Friday March 25 2005, 11:23 pm: I have never heard that before, and I highly doubt that it's true. Lukemia is a disease in your white blood cells, it doesn't have to do with light! You should probably ask your doctor. Because I'm not sure.
Miss_Lily answered Friday March 25 2005, 11:16 pm: I seriously doubt that sleeping with a light on can give you lukemia, but to reassure yourself, ask your mom or dad to call your family doctor and explain your situation to him and ask him about it. If you use a high voltage light, try switching to the lowest voltage as possible without hurting your eyes. [ Miss_Lily's advice column | Ask Miss_Lily A Question ]
freun989 answered Friday March 25 2005, 11:15 pm: Are you kiddin?! I've never heard that in my life. I'm 110% positive that you cannot get leukemia from sleeping with a light on. Good luck on your writing. [ freun989's advice column | Ask freun989 A Question ]
