warts

Question Posted Friday March 25 2005, 9:21 pm

Hey everyone, I was wondering about warts. i have two bubbly-like things, one on my ankle, one on my knee. I'm mostly likely sure they're warts, I can't go to get them checked out. DOn't ask. But I but this thing, it was like 20+ dollars, like the most expensive wart remover thing there was on the shelf, it was supposed to freeze the wart off, but it hasn't been working. Anyone have any experinces with warts or know any information on how to get rid of them? Thanks in advance. I rate well. =)

Warts are a virus and usually go away in time, but a good remedy to get rid of a wart is cut an onion in half and scoop out the middle and fill it with sea salt. Paint the wart daily with the juice that flows from the onion and it will be gone. I have also heard of cutting a potato in half and placing the inner part of the potato on the wart and it will draw out the wart.

when i was in like sixth grade i did karate and we walked around barefoot. I ended up getting warts. All i did was go to the doctor and they froze it off for me with dry ice. I used alot of store bought products...NONE Of them worked. A couple of months after you get it frozen it will start to go away. They can re accur though. My dermatologist said that warts is a virus. Once you have it it doesnt go away. When they start to disappear you still have the virus and they can recurr...thats pretty much all i know about the topic. You can look it up online too...

usually you just have to get them removed, but I had some a few years back and I put these little dot things on them. They're like circular bandaids with little packets of medicine in the middle, combining those with drops still took a few weeks to get rid of them, but that's better than just keeping them I guess.

It'll sound stupid, and you can rate me down if you want, but putting a small peice of duct tape on a wart has been known to help a lot of people lose warts. Yes, you heard that right, duct tape.

I used to have a small one when I was little and my mom bought a wart remover that was in a small, clear, glass, copper bottle that came with a brush and I would apply it on the wart and would put a bandaid over it. That's how it went away. Keep on applying the remover to the wart. It will go away eventually.
