Room Emergency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay here is the problem my friend just turned 12 last week but her room looks a little kiddish with like pink wallpaper,horse models and so on but she wants her room to look like a 12 year old kid's room but her mom will not let her get new furniture or paint her walls.So does anyone have any ideas on how she could make her room look good without getting new furniture and stuff?I will rate fives to anyone who helps with this room emergency no matter if your advice is not very good!!!

get poster and pictures and buy a new bedspread and you can juss leavee the furniture also she could buy mabey like a mirror and some cheap posters and lots of them .. hope it works out JESSiCA

get rid of the horse models and all the other kissish stuff then go to like walmarts or targets and get a bunch of posters.. make collages out of your old magazines..add tons of colored pillows and maybe like a cool blanket and put it over her beadspread if its kiddish.. take the pillowcases off if their ugly and just put on plain ones.. get a few ribbon buletin bords there only like 5 bucks and put tons of pics in them..

If she can get to walmart, you can get relly cool bed throws, bedding, and pillows. Pillows are the best no matter what age! Make sure the colors match her room now, but aren't kiddish. Also, u can't go wrong with stuffed Care Bears!

posters!!!! put random materials on the wall to add texture just make it so everywhere you go there is something interesting to look at, but make the room show her personality. Draw some pictures with deep meanings so when people walk into her room they can get an idea of her personality. Use bright colors that are cheery and make everyone happy.

Buy magazines and put posters up. Take down anything that is kiddish and only display stuff she wants out. Also rearrange the furniture to make it look better.

maybe u can do some sort of like moving around her furniture, maybe buy kool postersmaybe take down the stuff that is kiddish? thats hard since her mom wont let her do anything. hope this helps!!

Posters. Buy a lot of posters, of guys, bands, etc. Then, completely cover the walls with them. If her mother won't let her use tacks, just tape them, but make sure you put them exactly where you want them to go, because with tape you may rip the poster. Then, throw all the kid stuff in the closet, and use sheets to cover up couches, etc. It may not be pretty, but at least it will be cheap, and help make it not look so young.

Hi. I think that since your friend cannot get new furniture or pant her walls. Then go out to the mall and buy some really really cute stuffed animals and buy posters to cover up tha horses. And rearrange like the furniture so it will hide some of the kiddish things. And also go to Claire's or Icings and get a chair. Probly since her walls are pink, get a pink, baby blue, or purple one. ummm ok, all i can think of is put a plastic bedcover pee thing over the bed so her sheets dont get stained, if you know what i mean.

Okay, first of all take away all the stuff that makes the room look kiddis. If you are handy with asweing machine try to make some new things like maybe a slip for the bed spread or something. have her save some money and maybe pitch in too. then maybe you could get some new lamps or things. its kinda hard because you dont have any information on whatthis girl islikke but i hope i helped

she could rip picture outta magazines of her favorite celebreties and print them outta the computa and stuf and tape so many pics that it looks like wallpaper, that would be really cool, hope i helped!

ok well this seems like this room needs a lot of work!!! First off all take down all the horses and store them in a closet so she can always go back and look at them...then look in like Teen People for some posters of singers and hot ppl to hang on the wall or u can make like a collage of her favorite singers. Then save up some money and get a new bed spred some funky lights some bean bag chairs oh yeah and fill her bed with BIG cool pillows like different colors at bed bath and beyond hope this helps

make really cool paintinngs on canvass... just a few plain bright coloured ones and hang em on the walls. thats gonna cover up the wall paper. and get rid of the fugurines and put like, tye dyed sheets over any bad furnature.

Hey, well first of all Happy Belated Birthday to your friend!! lol im not exactly sure what the wallpaper luks like, but pink is soo awesome!!! i dont know why she'd hate it.. but anyways, first of all, put all her kiddish stuff like the horse models away in the attic or something and replace it with new stuff. Like put posters on the wall of hott guys, or celebrities. Get a bulletin board too to hang stuff and tack up pictures of you and your friends. Get a new rug or something, get better looking lamps, and like maybe drape fabric in your room! and get beads for your door to, thats cool. Also, most importantly, get a new bedspread, that will help A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope i helped a lil, good luck

That's pretty hard...she could always cover the wall in posters and photos, put her horse models away in a box...
There's also a loada great stuff like fabric paint, fabric dye...a box of dye is really cheap so she could dye her duvet cover if she isn't allowed a new onw. She could add beads/glitter onto old lampshades, too.
And maybe her mum would let her paint the room if she agreed on a colour? She's probably just worried that the girl will paint it and then wanna change it all again in a year. Go for a pretty neutral theme/colour that they both agree on. Pale purple goes with ANYTHING so that's always a good choice, as does pale yellow.
She could have noticeboards in her room too, to cover up some of the walls. She could even ask for room accessories (photo frames, lamp shades, mirror balls, etc etc etc) for her birthday.
Cushions are cheap, and novelty star, heart or other shaped ones can be really fun!
All she can really do is put all her old toys away in a bunch of boxes. She could even cover the boxes in throws and use them as seats. The thing is, a 20 year old could have a baby pink room and make it look grown up - it's not the colour, it's what goes in it :) Some candles would help it look more grown up too!

Your friend can take down her wall paper with one of those steamers, she can make a collage of all her friends and put it up on her wall, she can reorganize her room, she can get a new bed spread. Your friend can also buy magazines such as Teen People, Cosmopolitan, and YM and cut up words, pictures, etc and put them all over her room. She can also put all her "kiddish" things into her closet. You can hang pictures of celebrities on your walls and put beads on your door. She could put the horse models away so you don't have to see them. you could put posters of something cool on your wall also..seeing as it's not paint.

i would put all the kiddish things up.. under the bed or something. i also recently put a bunch of things from magazines on my walls. u can go through magazines and get pictures of guys, advertisements for magazines,etc. and hang them all over the walla, also maybe she can ask her mom if instead of having a birthday party if she can get her room redone! hope i helped!

How about some posters. Cute picture frames and little things that just make the room her own. She can make stuff as well. She just has to make it unique and her own.

Put up some more "teen" stuff. For example, pictures of boyz, or their favorite singer or actor, pictures of friends, put the horse models somewhere else. Just be creative and do what you can!! Good luck and have fun decorating!

Well, first of all she could put the things that she thinks are "little kiddish" in her closet. She could also hang up posters w/ something that will do minimum damage to her walls (maybe tacks, they might leave a tiny hole in the wall but it doesn't rip the paint of). She could also save up some money and buy some cheap new stuff, such as some cute throw pillows to go on her bed, or a nice lamp. Another idea is take some christmas tree lights and wrap them around things. I did this, and it looks awesome at night!!!
