Dear Elmo,

I am getting very bored with my style lately. I wear a lot of abercrombie and Its killing me!!! The prices for me are a little much considering I am still growing and will need new clothes next year. Wear can you find cute clothes (not like abercrombie style) for a small girl? I also want to know where to find bathing suits too!

Sorry for not getting around to your question sooner. But to answer it, you could try some place like Pacsun or American Eagle. They have pretty cool stuff there. Or, you could try Hot Topic for some great band stuff. You can buy T-shirts, Hoodies, basically anything with your favorite bands on them (mostly they are rock bands, so I'm sorry if you're not into rock). Kohl's also has some cute stuff, and it is always on sale! They also have great, cheap bathing suits there. You can get one there for about $30-$40 for 2 pieces, and yet they still look good, and not like walmart-cheap.

for summer reading i have to write a 5 paragraph essay and in the first paragraph i have to include a thesis statement on the main topic..lol obviously(sp?) but i forget how to do a thesis statement so can someone please help me on what i have to include? thanks soo much! i rate high!

A thesis statement basically sums up what you have learned from something. A good way to write it is to write an if-then statement.
For example-

If x is less than 5, then x cannot be 3.

Using an if-then statement basically just makes it easier to write, and it also makes it obvious to your teacher where the thesis statement is.

my skin, like on most of my body is covered in (little) bumps. ive had them my whole like but i dont kno what they are and personally, all i want to do is get rid of them! i hate it. its not a rash or anything like that but it wont go away with lotions, exfoliation, or creams, or anything else i have tried. plz help me!!! i rate 5's!!!!!

I have the same thing on the back of my upper arms and on the back of my lower legs. I have been meaning to go to a dermatologist to see what it is, because I have been told that they can prescribe a cream for it. So don't worry, you're not alone on this, and it sucks for me too. =( All I can really say is that you should go to a detmatologist to get it checked out.

Pirates of the Carribean~ an awesome movie about pirates with a hot guy in it. This is my personal favorite.

Lord of the Rings~ I'm sure you've heard of them. These movies are amazing.

Freaky Friday~ Hilarious, and both Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan do an awesome job in it.

Hidalgo~ About a horse and a man competing in a race across the desert...it's pretty good.

You could also try DVD's of your favorite bands, because I know a lot of bands make DVD's these days, and you can watch their concerts, interviews, etc. on them.

How do you work out the area of a circle from its radius?

You simply multiply 3.14 (pi) times the radius squared.
Example...

Let's say the radius is 5.
5 squared equals 25, right?
5 times 3.14 equals...15.7
Ta-da!

It's that time of year again. We're going to sign eachothers yearbooks. I'm sick of writing Cya in ___ (whater grade yor going in nxt year) and have a good summer. I was wondering what are some cool "quotes" to write in?

In a lot of people's yearbooks this year I wrote:

I hope your life is like a roll of toilet paper: long and useful.

You can then write "Lol j/j. Hope to see you next year!", or something to that effect. Everyone found this hilarious when I wrote it in their yearbooks.

I can't seem to find and shorts or pants or skirts that fit me... only like the really expensive 12 slim abercrombies... i'm almost fourteen, and going into 9th grade. Where can I find bottoms that'll fit me (other than the expensive 00's or 12 slims). Limited Too and other kids stores and department stores (juniors) are always huge on my thighs! please help!

I am the exact same way. I am going in to 9th grade too and I'm 5'3, 93 lbs. I've always had the same problem with pants too. Most pants are too big in the thighs too. I actually asked a question about this a couple of months ago, and everyone said to try Hollister's size 0's. Although their jeans can be quite expensive ($30-$40 is about the cheapest). Another store that sometimes fits me is Kohls, although I have to try on like 10-20 pairs of jeans and only 1 pair out of all of them wil fit me. I know it really sucks, but eventually you'll grow and you will fit in to larger clothes!

okay I just got my braces today and I think I look kinda stupid, but I just wanted to know if anyone knows whether or not it's harder to kiss, I've never actually kissed a guy but I have my braces for 2 years so I think I'll probably kiss a guy within those 2 years, so if anyone could help me that would be great, thx!

I've had braces for about a year and a half, and ever since I started kissing my bf (about 2 months ago, almost every single day), it's been fine. The braces don't get in my way, and they definetely don't get in his way. So I think it will be fine. Good luck with your braces and your first kiss, however!

This is a random guess...but do you live in ky? b/c I know a madison that is 15/f in 8th grade that has an advice column...lol ok. Sorry if you're not that person. You probably think I'm crazy right now, but oh well.
And to answer your question, no it's perfectly normal to not have had your first kiss yet. After all, don't you want it to be with the RIGHT guy, not just any guy? I think that it would be WAY better if it was with the right guy (like it was with me, I made sure I really WANTED it to be this guy before it happened).
A lot of my friends haven't either, and I'm in 8th grade too. You're time will come, don't worry. Until then, just look forward to it! =)

i need a summer job but im only 13 and u cant get hired without being 16 or older.does anyone have any idea of any place who will hire someone under 16?

I know where I live, at least, you can become a soccer coach if your 12+. You get to referee the kids that are 8 and under, and you get paid like 75 bucks for just 2 or 3 games! You should see if you are able to do this in your area. You could be an umpire probably, too, at the little kid's games (if soccer isn't your thing). All you have to do is learn about the game (whether it be soccer or baseball/softball/t-ball), practice as an assistant to the referee/umpire, and then take a test. If you pass the test, voila, you have yourself a job!

I am going to get a horse soon and i want to know how much it is for like food a week or a month and how many times do you have to take it to the vet like a year and how much does it cost to have them get new shoes and how much for the vet and stuff like that.. thanks.!.

Ok, please don't take this the wrong way or anything, but you really shouldn't be getting a horse if you don't know any of this stuff. Another comment: most people on this website probably will haven no idea. Instead, you should talk to your local vet, farrier, and feed store. They would probably be the best at answering these questions.

Another comment- if you are going to be boarding your horse at a stable, they will include the price of feed into your boarding bill, so you wouldn't have to worry about feed if you are boarding.

Just regular check-ups performed by your vet should be every couple of months, and shots every 6 months to a year.
Your farrier should replace your horse's shoes every 4-6 weeks. Shoeing, for all 4 hooves, on average is about $150. This, however, depends on who your farrier is.

Owning a horse is a HUGE responsibility, so make sure you realize the time, effort, and expenses needed before buying your horse.

[EDIT] Please note that the person that told you that you only can give a horse "spring water" is incorrect. First of all, humans AND animals alike can drike regular tap water (for a horse, that would be water out of a water hose). Secondly, spring water would be wayyyyy to expensive to give a horse.

Another note~ Try and feed your horse as often as you can, in small portions. Since you probably go to school, however, 3 a day would probably be the maximum you could do (once before school, once when u get home from school, and once before you go to bed). This is fine, just make sure you feed your horse the correct amount.

I'm going on holiday with my friend in the summer and I am a very picky eater!!! I have given her a basic list of what I really don't like and like, totally won't eat, but Iunno, there's obviously going to be other stuff they feed me that I don't like. So I'm gonna take a bit of food in my suitcase just in case. I've already thought of cereal bars and crisps but is there anything else I could take? Ignore the fact that I'm a picky eater, just say anything you can think of. If it's a good idea but I don't like the food then I'll still rate high because you tried.

I know exactly how you feel. I am just about the pickiest eater out there (I don't eat pizza, hotdogs, hamburgers, etc). Why don't you try bringing a couple of boxes of crackers and cereal, some boxes of macaroni and cheese, pasta (if they will let you use their stove). Something else you could bring would be some boxes of popcorn, since popcorn really fills you up! If you need more ideas, just drop one in my inbox please!

Hi! Okay i am a really thin person....i am NOT Anorexic i swear! I eat actually alot, i just dont gain the pounds as fast! But my hands in the winter they will like turn colors...like in gym they will trun purple and red and stuff. And if you squeeze them they will turn red! Is this normal...my one friend said it could be a blood clot! Help me

Me, being a thin person myself, know exactly how you feel. My hands and feet do that too, when it is cold. Especially in the winter. The only difference is that when I squeeze mine, they turn more of a very light tan/white color. So I'm not sure about that. But don't worry about them turning red and sort of purple...it's just because you don't have a lot of fat between your blood vessels and the outside layer of your skin. Hope I helped!

No, it's not bad to charge your phone too much, because after it has charged up as much as it can go, it simply stops charging itself. You can buy cute cell phone covers at your mall, online, or just simply where ever you bought the phone (such as cingular, t mobile, verizon, etc).

Hmm...sounds like you are in a tough situation. Just follow your heart, and become the religion that YOU believe in. Not the religion that your parents want you to be. Your parents will love you, no matter what religion you choose to follow. They might have trouble accepting it at first if you become a bhudist, but they will come to understand it, even if it takes a while.
