my braces

Question Posted Monday May 16 2005, 10:53 pm

okay I just got my braces today and I think I look kinda stupid, but I just wanted to know if anyone knows whether or not it's harder to kiss, I've never actually kissed a guy but I have my braces for 2 years so I think I'll probably kiss a guy within those 2 years, so if anyone could help me that would be great, thx!

Anna

It's not harder to kiss if you have braces, rather than without. The only thing that is different is that if a guy kisses you, he may get a cut but no one that I know has ever had that happen to them.

I've had braces for about a year and a half, and ever since I started kissing my bf (about 2 months ago, almost every single day), it's been fine. The braces don't get in my way, and they definetely don't get in his way. So I think it will be fine. Good luck with your braces and your first kiss, however!

I haven't noticed any problems. I suppose they can be a little awkward, but the other person probably won't notice. Just keem them clean, eh? :

(if you bend over the last inch of the floss and twist it, you can make a fast floss threader. Much easier than the ones they give you)

Well I've never actually kissed anyone with braces, but since no one has answered your question, i'll answer with what i know, until someone with more experience comes along. I've heard from friends and such, that kissing with braces is no different than without. You are more prone to cut your (or his) mouth but that is it. Once my friend (with braces) made out with a guy for 20minutes and it was fine. hope this helps ya! and good luck with your first kiss!! <3
