jbdreamer answered Tuesday February 15 2005, 3:09 pm: My sister has a Pekingese that is very well behaved and never barks. She carries it in her backpack all the time. My parents fell in love with it, and got one of their own. They keep their hair cut short, not long like you see in most pictures.
Here is a good example: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]

Link answered Monday February 14 2005, 4:48 am: I think you should get a beagle that was the best dog i ever had and they dont get that big and they usually listen really well so i think you should get a beagle but if you get one beagles like to be around people and if you go away for long periods of time they get really sad so only get one though if you can always be there to take care of it. XoxBroKeNxoX answered Monday February 14 2005, 12:10 am: if you want to get a really smart hyper dog, get a jack russell terrier like me. BUT theyre are EXTREMELY hyper and high strung. they like to chase other animals at times. but tehyre really smart so you can train them. my dogs a years 1/2 and i taught him to sit, stay, down, twirl around, paw, high five, and roll over. everything i taught him to do took less then 10 minutes. except hs sit, he first learned that, awww it was so cute! okay well back to your question, a lot of dogs have different personalities and traits, so try researching them before you get one. for example: you want a dog that is really protectice and will instantly kill anyone who steps foot near you, and you buy a chihuahua and all it does is sleep on a pillow all day and get accidentally stepped on. thats not good, you should know the traits of the dog breed before you buy it. also:::make sure you bring teh puppy out and play with it efore you make the decision. i chose between 2 dogs and i chose the one i have now because the other one was ugly, and i probably shouldve gone with the other one cuz this one wants me dead. and second think if u want a young puppy because youl have to potty train it, and get him to shut the hell up when it cries during the night. hard work man. well, good luck! and purebread good dogs are always the most expensive. mine was 600$. if u want to enter it in shows dont get it fixed [ XoxBroKeNxoX's advice column | Ask XoxBroKeNxoX A Question ]

xO_Natalie_Ox answered Sunday February 13 2005, 9:12 pm: This isn't a very small dog but it is only about 25 pounds (at least mine is 25 and he's overweight) It is called a Shiba Inu a semi rare Japanese breed. They tend to like one person more then everyone else and most likely if you spend the most time with it it'll like you the most. They are sooo cute! They were breeded for years until they got one that looked liek a teddy bear! That are easy to train and spend time with. They are great pets to have around the house because they usually follow the person who spends the most time with them. FunnyCide answered Sunday February 13 2005, 7:15 pm: a Jack Russell Terrier is a good choice, very friendly and easy going dogs. A Cocker Spaniel isn't too bad if you get a nice one. (They have a reputation for being mean sometimes, but I know people personally that have very nice Cocker Spaniels) But, in my opinion, a mutt would be the best choice. Go to the Humane Society and find a nice, small dog (puppy, if you prefer) and take it home. That way you're getting a friend for life while saving a life. Remember all dogs are different though, there are breed characteristics, but there are many exceptions. Have fun with your dog!
