This is the 4th day of the 4-day flu for me and my respretory is feeling perfectly normal. But throughout the flu I hadn't eaten barely anything. I lost about 5 pounds, but now when I try to eat even the simplest things(bread, crackers) I feel very naucious. Is this normal? How do I get over it? How can I gain that 5 pounds back without eating more then I fell like I can handle?

ArmyMedic answered Sunday February 13 2005, 10:27 pm: maintain a diet that is light. gatorade or pedialyte is good. also, non dairy protein shakes are good. as you eat normaly, your wieght will return. just dont overeat. there is no need to. it is very important to stay hydrated first and foremost and get rest. if i was there, i'd give you a IV :-) [ ArmyMedic's advice column | Ask ArmyMedic A Question ]
This is normal you are just feeling very sick and its a part of the virus. Try to eat as much as you can so you don't lose anymore weight. Sorry sweetie, but you are just going to have to wait for yourself to cure. Just take IBprofen or asrin or whatever fits you to not feel like you are a weight. You can gain your 5 lbs back after you are well, but don't force yourself to eat, you could toss your cookies :(...Just be careful :)
Get well, hun!
Pura Morena :)
