bcso9 answered Thursday January 27 2005, 8:51 am: the water is too hott......but if u like it that temperature n the red goes away then wats the matter??????
NikNik answered Thursday January 27 2005, 12:35 am: Your legs are more then likely red because of how hott the water was or it could be the soap your useing but if you use really hott water then thats why they get red...if you think its the soap then try useing a different kind, i'm sure its not a problem though because it happens to me to with either the hott water or the soap I use..well I hope this helps!-Nikki

Dr_Thom answered Wednesday January 26 2005, 9:54 pm: no, it's not bad at all unless your legs start turning black or so...
you're standing the whole time so a lot of blood collects in your feet and lower body. also, the heat of the shower water also causes your skin to turn slightly red. just relax and after 30 max, the redness should dissapear. [ Dr_Thom's advice column | Ask Dr_Thom A Question ]
xXxpinky615xXx answered Wednesday January 26 2005, 9:49 pm: Same thing happens to me only my feet and calves turn nearly purple. It's basically a mix between all the blood rushing to your feet and legs and the hot water warming your skin which causes it to turn red. Have you ever noticed that when some people get out of Phys. Ed. their faces are bright red? It's for the same reason, they're hot. It's not bad at all, it's perfectly normal. Nothing to worry about. Hope this helped. charmed-cherry21 answered Wednesday January 26 2005, 9:30 pm: Allergic reaction to some sort of soap or shampoo or conditioner or something in that catergory.
BurnetteBaby13579 answered Wednesday January 26 2005, 9:29 pm: That happens to me too when I get out of the shower, only it's on my neck and chest. It's nothing to worry about. I'm not sure what it is, I think it's just your skin reacting to the water. It could also be an allergic reaction to a soap.
