I am in middle school right now, and I don't have many friends. Like I'm not shy or anything, but I don't hang out with a lot of people. Do you think when I go to highschool (next year) I will have more friends? Or is it just me?
horseygurl answered Sunday January 16 2005, 10:56 pm: I think you will definatily have losts of friends at highschool! For one there will be way more people there! Also in a way you can "start fresh". Also there will be clubs and activitys that do things you like. I hope you have agreat year next year! [ horseygurl's advice column | Ask horseygurl A Question ]
XSugarPieX77 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 9:59 pm: I didnt have a lot of friends in middle school cuz it turned out they all pretty much ditched me. But when i got to highschool this year { im in 8th grade} i started hanging out with the 9th graders. Maybe the kids in ur school arent like you at all and thats why you dont have a lot of friends. Join some type of activity that you like and then u'll meet people who have the same interests you do. Good luck

Jess5764 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 6:16 pm: yeah, probobly. get involved in a sport like cross country it gets you in real good shape and you meet sooo many good friends b/c you spend so much time with them. high school would have kinda sucked if i hadn't known the cross country crowd i mean i had another group of friends but its always good to have two groups to go back and forth between and also in high school people aren't so concerned about being "popular" which is a major improvement over middle school and people in general are just nicer [ Jess5764's advice column | Ask Jess5764 A Question ]

kittylvr93 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 2:00 pm: You are just like me. It takes a while for people to learn my name and get to know me but sooner or later I get too many friends to handle. [ kittylvr93's advice column | Ask kittylvr93 A Question ]
chelseaw285 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 1:48 pm: Next year at highschool you'll most likely have a lot more friends than you do now. In highschool you meet so many new people, and I know where I go, the friends that I was around all the time during middle school I barely get to see anymore during school. So i meet a lot of new people
jamziix16 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 1:32 pm: i think you need to talk to more people and you need to be more outgoing. you might have more friends next year, considering there's three other grades in the school - but i think u need to be more outgoing. good luck =) [ jamziix16's advice column | Ask jamziix16 A Question ]
MummuM answered Sunday January 16 2005, 1:27 pm: You'll probably meet a lot of new people in highschool. I know I did. I had some friends in middle school. But once I got to highschool I started to meet a lot of cool people. I'm sure you'll make a lot of new friends when you start highschool.

good luck!!

SmoothiesFknRock answered Sunday January 16 2005, 1:01 pm: Most likely you will have more friends. Just be yourself, and talk to people to make friends or whatever. I'm sure you'll be fine, and don't sweat it. My little sister didn't have any friends in middle school because she's not the greatest with the whole "making friends" thing. She's a freshman this year and she has friends that she goes and hangs out with all the time. Be confident and be yourself! =)

Karen answered Sunday January 16 2005, 12:43 pm: Yes, you will have more friends, once you get into high school because since there are a lot more people, you are bound to meet a couple of friends. You need to be more socialized. Talk to people and you will make new friends. Hope I helped :)
