Ex Boyfriend...
OK my boyfriend just dumped me yesterday and eh used the line, "I love you, but i don't want a girlfriend right now." Has anyone gotten that one before? If any boys see this what does it actually mean? is it just a nice way to dump me becuase how can you *love* someone but not wanan go out with them?

thats true you cant love some one and not want to be with them, its just a cheesy way to have a break up. just forget about him he obviously doesnt care much if he said that,so neither should you just for get about him, hes not worth your time.

I haven't had that happen to me, but it sounds like he doesn't love you at all. You have to take into consideration:
1.) How long have you been going out? If it has been less than 6-8 months, then I doubt it's really 'love'.
2.) How old are both of you? If you are 11-14 years old, I don't think it's serious.
Overall, I think it's just a 'nice' way to dump someone. Wallow for a few days then move on. It's his problem he dumped you.

I think it was just a nice way to let you go. Because if he said he still loves you, then why would he break up with you. It doesn't make sense. Or maybe he's just scared of being in a serious relationship, which a lot of people are. Just tell him how you feel and I hope everything works out. Good luck!

1# he has things he has to handle
2# his parents sayed he cant see you
3# he dosent know if hes ready to be with someone
4# its a nice way of breaking up with you

Dang, I've been there and done that. It's stupid how guys say that. Most of the time it's a nice way of saying I don't want to go out with you and I don't love you. But one odd example: My friend went out with this boy and he said the same thing but the truth of it was he was afraid of his reputation. So either he loves you and he's scared of something or he doesn't want to date you. He could also love you but just not be ready for a relationship right now. Remember that girls mature faster than boys. I don't know how old you and this boy are so I can't suggest too much on that. So either this boy just plain doesn't love you and was being nice or he loves you and has some hidden reason behind why he broke up with you that he just hasn't told you. I suggest asking him about his actions.

When i said it i ment that i still cared for them and loved them but i just didn't want to be with them i was scarred of actually gettin to much in love and hurting them. Well, yes he is just trying to make you not feel bad by saying this,somehow boys brains work differently then girls in this section. Boys think by trying to make it seem its not you its him it will make you feel better,but in fact they just do not understand it hurts!! I do not think a boy that would use this line is good enough for you and just does not understand that it hurts a girls feelings when they try so hard not to make it hurt.

To be honest, I've gotten that line once and I've said it once. Basically it means that they still love you as a person but just doesn't want to be commited. They want to go out and have fun without having, I guess you can say the "baggage" of having a girlfriend or a boyfriend. The just don't want to have the extra pressure of having to please someone else. They probably just want to focus on themself. That's when I used that line. I just wanted to have time to myself and I didn't want to have the pressure of having a boyfriend. The best I can tell you is to try to have fun, and move on. There are many gorgeous guys out there that are waiting for you. You just need to be patient! You'll find one. Hope this helped.

exactly. you are so right. guys use that as an excuse not to hurt your feelings. all of the guys in my school use the same line, and then a month later he'll admit that he just said that so she wouldn't feel bad.

I used to get that when a guy would dump be. It always turned out to be a bunch of bull and he would have a new girlfriend the next week. Some guys are just not worth your time. There's better ones out there, you just got to keep searching.
