Well .. My Grandfather died from it and now the doctors are saying that my Grandmother has cancer .. All my family is praying that she is healed, cancer is a generational curse .. I think you need to pray that the generational curse will be broke with her and will be killed at the root and never come against her family again .. God has a purpose for EVERYTHING , even though it hurts .. I know what your going through !!

god has a reason for everything maybe your friend had to go so that you could come to know christ...my friends mom got cancer and because of that her family started going to church and because of that my friend saw the truth and became a christian...if it was not for her moms cancer we are not sure if she would be have a relationship with christ...her mom died about 2 months ago but because of christ they rejoiced that her mom got to be with her savior jesus christ and my friend now knows that she will see her again one day...know that god works through everything and it will all work out for his glory

well, I can't say that I know how your feeling, cause I don't. But I can say that if you trust in God and keep praying to him for a miracle, he will get you through. With God, when a door is shut, another one opens, so Jus pray that he will open that door for you. Hope I helped!

Well i always look at death as when God thinks you have done all you were supposed to do in life. I think just being there for your friend and dont get upset around her, because she is probably wondering is she going to die like the other person from your school. Just be there for her and always pray for her is all you can do.

God has a plan for everyone. It may not always go the way you wanted, but it's for the best! God could've been saving your friend from something worse. Just know that they're in heaven right now, having the time of they're lives! God made heaven as something to look forward to, not to dread. If you think this life on earth is great, just imagine it a million times better.P.U.S.H!
Hope I helped! rOcKeR4GoD

Just try and think about it this way..

Maybe god has another plan for your friend up there. A plan even better than the plan he has for your friend down here. Your friend will always be happy up there and will always be watching over you. Keep your head up and think positive thoughts. I Hope your friend gets better. Good luck!

First off, I'm really sorry about your friends. I have dealt with that before and I know how much it hurts and how deep the pain is. But anyway, back to your question.Sometimes it's hard to know why bad things happen, but they do serve purpose. It isn't always clear why God incorporates them into His plan for your life and the lives of those around you. He does promise, however, that His timing is perfect and that He will be there for you no matter what happens to ease the pain and support you. I encourage you to keep seeking answers by praying or talking to a minister, or both! I will be praying for you and I hope the Lord reveals Himself to you through this situation. That's how it happened for me. Keep strong and have faith! =)

I know how you feel. My dad died of a brain anerism when I was only three. It's made me think of how much I do have considering what I've lost. Life isn't fair, I know. You can't always change what life gives you, but you can change how you react to it. I read this book called Always and Forever by Lurlene McDaniel. It's about a girl who gets cancer, and how it affects everyone around her. It's very inspiring and I think you should read it if you ever happen to find it. The best thing to do is to be there for your friend and her family, and keep praying. Your friend who passed away is now out of pain, and I'm sure they don't want you to be sad. Everything happens for a reason. I think the reason for this is that God wants you to cherish the things you do have. He wants to be close to you. I know it's upsetting, but one day you will accept what's going on. I think that one day it will make sense. It's hard right now, but time mends wounds hun. If you ever need someone to talk to, you know where to go. =)

Sherry answered Friday December 31 2004, 12:02 am:
God lets everything happen for a reason. You may be thinking "Well, why would he let something like THAT happen to someone so inoccent?" You know, no one will never ever understand it but someday it will ALL make sense as to why she has cancer. Maybe God wants you to know him, andhe let your friend have cancer so you could put your faith in HIm?. Prayer works for everything..and your friend (if prayyed for by a lotta people) will be healed! The power of prayer is so strong..and many miracles have happened because people took one min outta their lives to pray. I'm praying for you, and I'll get my church, christian message boards, etc, to pray for you and your friend. Right now all you could do is pray and God is listening! God wants you to know him and his good works! If you have faith in Christ, all things are possible. if you want, we can talk about this more and I can find some bible verses for you..to maybe help you out? I dont if it will help but its worth giving a shot at it. :)

Wow, that's really got to be hard to take for all parties handled. Your situation really hits very close to home for me. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer, I was so mad at God. I couldn't understand why he was doing this. Why he would let something so bad happen to someone so good. My uncle is also very very terminally ill, and everyday it kills me inside. I've sat and thought about all of this for hours and cried my eyes out. The best conclusion I have been able to come to is that sometimes God lets things bad happen in order to teach us how lucky we are and to bring us closer to Him. I think it's good that you are praying. I think you should also maybe write about what you are going through. Try to help both of your friends and their families in any way possible. Maybe cook them something. Or you could get the kids at school to all make condolenses cards. Just arious different things. The important thing is to learn from all of this and just keep on having the faith. If you ever need anyone to talk to I am always here. God Bless. :)
