I have a problem. I am a christian kid but im slipping away from the lord because of things i look at. if ya know wat i mean. I cant stop. I try but nothin works. If you can help, please do

My brother had the same problem.. but what he did was he didnt get on the computer and downloaded secruticy things that wouldnt let him view those sites... and he also told my parents.. and they helped him! Just do things that wont tempt you! Just say.. the Lord will forgive me.. but He doesnt like that I keep doing this! I hope this helps!

im totally a christian its like this everytime you get the urge put in some christian music it works or just stop getting online period but the christian music works or wherever your computer is put a bible rigt by the mouse so everytime u wanna look at it you will think of GOD and you wouldnt be tempted!! try it

Hey there! I saw your question and thought I might be able to help you. I've had a problem similar to yours. It feels odd to feel like you're slipping away form the Lord for any reason. It probably feels even worse because you're going against God's wishes by looking at porn. My advice would be just to pray to God and tell Him about your troubles. Ask Him to forgive you and tell Him how sorry your are. Then I would advise you to get rid of any and all temptations. That's what is probably making you look at it over and over again. I don't know what form(s) of porn you have but I suggest that if its magazines or tapes, just throw them away. It's really not worth it once you think about it. Just keep praying to God and I'm sure He'll give you the strength you need to quit. In His arms, Brit.

Just because you look at... well nevermind what you're looking at, doesn't mean you're slipping away from the lord. It's not like you're a bad person, it's in a guy's nature to look at that stuff. But if you wouldn't want your parents knowing you do it, just as an example, then I wouldn't be doing it. Think of that for every situation you get involved in, would I want my parents knowing. God isn't going to hate you because you're curious, it's not a sin.

Your a teenage boy, you are going to have urges! better looking then actually doing am i right? well, if you really want to stop then take away all acess to any of it. then, wear a rubberband, anytime you see it snap yourself with the rubberband... hard! But truthfully, itz not your fault. your body is letting out hormones that give you strong urges. the only thing you can do is avoid it.

I think it's perfectly normal. No one's perfect. Humans are curious creatures by nature, so trying to stop is not going to do you any good. It doesn't mean you're slipping fromt he Lord if you look at things, unless your parents are really really religious and all. But I still think there's nothing wrong with it. Its your life, right? Live it how you want to, not how someone else does.

the lord wont kill you or anything. somtimes you have to do things that you just cant and what i mean by that is cutting off looking at 'things.' ask for forgivness and pray everynight!

I honestly don't think you will slip away from the lord just because you look at "things". Lord will still love you even if you do look at "things". You should try really hard not. If you really wanna stop than you can. It is all in your mind. I have faith in you.

Theres absolutely nothing wrong with what your doing. Everybody does it at some point. Eventually you will move on and get over it. I really dont see how you are slipping away from the Lord because of it. I dont think he has a spot for you in hell just because of natural hormones in your body acting up that he put there to begin with. Peace.

I dont think it should make you slip from the lord. Its human nature to look at this stuff. Dont feel bad and dont give up the lord. All sins are forgiven so nothing bad is going to come out of it. its harmless really. Just looking at this stuff. You can cut down and such. If you have the urge to look at it, do something else. Play an online game at www.2flashgames.com. They have many games to take your mind off it. Dont worry mate....things will get easier with it. Resist the temptations.

its nothiing horrible..its not like your having premarital sex. BUT if you really really think this is wrong and you want to stop...
a. try and get a gf who can take the place of the porn mags. Im not saying have sex with her bc obviously thats against your morals. But i think if you get a gf you`ll be better off
b. burn the mags..or stop reading them gradually. For instance..if you look at them every day cut down to every other day.
