PinkLady4863 answered Monday December 20 2004, 10:43 pm: it is differant for everybody. my mother grew 3.5 inches after 16. my friend in college is 21 and has just recently grown 2 inches!but in contrast, my friend tabitha is 13, and isn't suspected to grow again. so as you can see, it mainly depends on genetics. and there is no set age

Babigurl answered Monday December 20 2004, 10:42 pm: well my doctor told me that you stop growing 2 and a half years after you start your period and that seems about right.. but if it is then the age will definately vary. im 14 now. 2 and a half years after my period and i have stopped growing. so i dont kno if it is a certain age all girls stop growing. i think the sooner you begin to mature. the sooner you will stop. it makes sense

icey0990 answered Sunday December 19 2004, 8:34 pm: The age really does vary. Some girls stop growing at like age 11 or 12 when they hit puberty..others grow until late teens. Generally by age 18 or 19 all growing is complete. But the age varies from as young as 11 to 12..all the way to 18 or 19.

rainbowcherrie answered Sunday December 19 2004, 9:50 am: The age varies. For some it is fairly young, for some it isn't until their early twenties. The average age is around 16-18 but that doesn't mean that as soon as you hit 16 you will stop growing. [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]
dancindanger answered Sunday December 19 2004, 1:45 am: It's different for everyone, so there is no "set age" for when a girl stops growing. My cousins just turned 18 (twins) and they grew another 1/2 inch over the summer. So..no it isn't true that after 16 a girl stops growing. Hope I helped. Shaylee answered Sunday December 19 2004, 12:55 am: I have a friend who had the smallest boobs and got paid out about it all the time when she was 16. She would cry her eyes out all the time. But then when she hit 17 she suddenly filled out- the boys were so surprised. So really it depends on the person, it varies. [ Shaylee's advice column | Ask Shaylee A Question ]
Shortie8959 answered Saturday December 18 2004, 11:20 pm: It all depends on the girl. Some girls stop growing at an early age (my mom stopped when she was in 6th grade!) and for some, it might be around 18 or 19!
Hope I helped!

charmed-cherry21 answered Saturday December 18 2004, 9:52 pm: That is an aprox. MOST girls do stop growing at around 16 but some girls that are smaller grow a little while longer. And girls that are larger stop growing sooner. Age sixteen is about the average age.
Karen answered Saturday December 18 2004, 8:54 pm: Nope, it's not true! It all depends on your body and how it grows! You could stop growing at an early age or in your early 20's! Hope I helped :)

JSIMT answered Saturday December 18 2004, 7:46 pm: the age 16 has nothing to do with it, after a girl gets her period, her growth slows down, but she still grows up to 18, after 18 you dont COMPLETLEY stop but you definitley will be done by 19, my dads a doctor, just ask me if you have anymore questions :)
kittygurl90 answered Saturday December 18 2004, 7:28 pm: My doctor said that about 2 years after a girl gets their period that they are done growing...so depending on when you got yours..depends on when you stop growing. Hope i helped!! [ kittygurl90's advice column | Ask kittygurl90 A Question ]
