how do i get her to say yeah?
well see in my religion its a sin to pluck or wax eyebrows but the thing is everyone i no who are also muslims pluck/wax their eyebrows except my mom and sister.. im almost 14 years old and i think its my choice wheater i touch my eyebrows ... and tonight my dad is goin to get his hair cut and i want to go w. him to get my eyebrows done wut cud i say to my mom to get her to say okay?

why dont you just pluck the hairs that really bother you and dont tell your mom , if she asks about you eyebrows just say i dont know what your talking about

Well i know a few muslims... mostly gusy tho... and i thnk there is only one way to handel this... (good way) Just simply ask her. Be polite, if you just go ahead and do it you will los her trust and respect.

But this was the same with my mom i wasnt aloud to start plucking my eyebrows till 7th grade.
who knows u could even tlk her into it by making up a good point.

im muslim too... & i get my eye brows done... tell her that this is something you really want to do... & everyone does it... it should be ur choice whether u get ur eye brows done or not... it soundz like ur family is really strict... so you should point out some things they do that are agaisnt islam... & compare it with gettin your eye brows done... I did not know that about the muslim religion. I am sure it is hard to try and conform to your muslim culture while trying to fit into American culture.
You must know the reasons behind this religous belief first before you can explaine to your mother why that tradition is not importaint to you. If she disagres, try and be respectful of her wishes. And if you must, just pluck them yourself. Maybe your parents won't even notice.

I think you should just ask her and see what she has to say. i mean gods not going to hate you cuz you pluck or get ur eyebrows waxed, and plus its your body.. and we all know that big bushy eye brows arent very attractive.. Goodluck!! :)

Ask your mother if there is an approved method other than plucking and waxing? There is a method of string removal that is performed by a Muslim lady where I work. I understand the vanity is a sin thing. That's a standard in my religion too, but you don't want to look like a gorrila either. Unabrows can't be popular in any religion. And it hurts to get your brows done. Suffering should count for something. Luck!

Try explaining to your mom how you feel. Maybe once she understands, she'll be a little more willing. If she still says no, just remember that there are more important things in life! Good luck =)

just tell your mom that its realy important to you. you may not want to be the same as your mom and sister and you dont necessarily have to be. just talk to your mom about it and you might find out that there is some special reason why she doesnt let you do it.

hmmm well you could tell her thats ur growing up and u want to make your own decisions. ask her to fogive u for the sin but u want to do somthing for yourself on your own.it should be up to you
