If that cheerleader is a real friend, then she will still be friends w/ you even if you are a "punk"

dear lables,

you should want to dress the way you want and you should dress the way you want. no one is stopping you. besides, if your friend doesn't like you because you are a little punkish, then she isn't a real friend. eventually, if you keep your cool, and you just be you, soon enough, you'll have friends that like you for who you are

Reread your question. You have to dress a certain way so a boy will like you, but that'll make one of your friends stop liking you. You're all confused, and I'm not surprised.

There's a quote which says, 'The truth is easy to remember.' What it means? You should dress in the way that makes you feel most like yourself, whoever that may be. Then all you have to remember is who you are, instead of who everyone else wants you to be.

And people at school? Do you really want friends just on the basis of how you dress?

Dress can help you meet people, but it can be a bad experience if you're not careful. If people like you for your clothes (and it seems it's not really working so far...), they don't like you for you. If you dress to be yourself, and are comfortable and happy being yourself, you'll end up attracting people.

People like being around people who like themselves. So, figure out what makes YOU happiest - nobody else - and go for it.

Yes, if the people in your school are like that..they will call you a poser. But I don't like when people call people posers. Dress how YOU want to dress. If you want to wear "punk" clothes, then wear them. If you want to wear "preppy" clothes, then wear 'em. Who cares what people think about you? If they don't want to be your friend because of the way you dress, that's rediculous! If that guy you like only likes girls who dress punk, then he's an idiot. No offense and all if you like him, but I mean come on..he's like stereotype-ing (if thats even a word..?) Do what YOU want.

well im sure the way you dress wont effect you very much, and if your friend hates you because you dress like that than she isnt a very good friend, i say go for it.. its worth a shot and if u dont like it go back to dressing preppy!!
