Brilliant! I am really happy that you have decided to spread God's word. :-D I actually had converted my Athiest friend into a Christian, and I shall tell you how. I approached him, and asked him why he believed in being an Athiest. I though this may have been a little rude at first, but he seemed not to mind. Some people are scared of converting because they have a Cathloic background, or a background of a strict religion. Make sure to mention how much fun the Christian religion is!!! Its more about free will than it is about rules rules rules. If you want, mention the Christian rock bands...i am sure that will intregue some people. :-P If they seem interested, try asking if they will come with you to Church...or if your chuch is like mine...and extra session where we play games and sing and such. After saying these things, my friend agreed to come to the extra chuch session, and now he is doing the 30 Hour Famine with me and my Christian friends!!! (The 30
Hour Famine is a thing where chuches around the world go without food for 30 hours, and raise money to help lessen world hunger.....as you may know).
Also, about the song you want to sing at your talent show, I reccomend maybe something by Jeremy Camp, Steven Curtis Chapman, Relient K (if possible), or SonicFlood (they have awesome songs)....(even Rascal Flatts has some good Christan songs). Good luck!!!

hope this helped!!! please feel free to ask me anything else, i'd be glad to help :-D

dont let the LIGHTS FADE OUT

Where a shirt that says your a strong chiristian or something... Dont sing at a talent show and "ask" people to accept god in thier life! Chances are, if they are already chirstian, the will contiue to be. And if they arent, they will continue to not be. Your going to be preaching to the Choir. Religion is a touchy subject, dont mess around with it, you and other people might get hurt.

youre going to have to ask the Lord to help you on this one and you shouldnt be scared to witness about someone you truly love if your friends dont accept that your a christian then their not your true friends!!

Just be careful. Most people will get pretty pissed off at you if you start going all bible bashy. Just go like- yeah I go to church, I really like it... talk like *I* like it, instead of *YOU* would like it... that way you are not pressuring anyone, just informing them of your feelings.

I am not a Christian, I am a Pagan. What you must realize before attempting this is that not everyone has the same religion. The same religion isn't going to benefit everyone. People are different and therefore, believe differently. Please, be open-minded to this. You can talk to them about it as best you can, but do NOT say "Well, this is the one true way..." because you cannot prove that and no one else can disprove it. Also, do not tell people they are going to Hell if they don't believe what you say. Good people are good people, whether they are a Christian or not. So instead of lecturing people and using scare tactics, set an example in yourself. It might help out your fellow christians too.

Just remember, Jesus was open-minded, loving and caring. If you are the same, it will show that you are not only a strong, good person, but a strong, good Christian.

hey, ok so heres the dealio, id say pray about it, pray that tomorrow someone asks you about ur faith, and pray that god speaks through you and maby plant a seed in their hearts. also, u can show your a christian w/ out having to say it out loud, w/ out having to pund a bible into someones head, even just loving on people, not judging others , accepting everyone, being happy like there are a lot of little things you could do that could make people be like "whats with that girl? why is she so happy, i wish i could be like that" ect...ya know....but remember you gotta be prepared when it comes to sharing your faith, because god will put you in peoples lives just for the reason of sharing your faith, so be ready. oh and remember....SMILE JESUS LOVES YOU!!

Well, it's good that you want to share your beliefs, but when on the subject of religion, you need to be open minded. You can't force people to see God the way you do. You can discuss your beliefs with other people, but you can't try and make them see things your way without making an ass of yourself. Let the conversation come naturally, and if people begin to show an interest in what you tell them, invite them to something fun your church does, like youth group or something. Be sure to be willing to go to their church functions though, because you'll only seem hypocritical if you take people to your church but refuse to look into others'.

Bless your heart! There are many beliefs in gods that are leading people straight to hell, but there is only one who saves and that is Jesus Christ. Since you say you are a strong Christian, I am going to assume you mean Jesus Christ when you say, "asking god into their lives".

First of all, singing is a wonderful idea! I suggest you seriously pray about which song to sing. The Lord will lay on your heart the one that will touch your audience. Sing to the Lord with all you got! (Jer. 20:13 Sing to the LORD! Give praise to the LORD! He rescues the life of the needy from the hands of the wicked.) Keep your focus on Him.

We as Christians have two weapons that the evil one can not stand up against - the Bible which is the Word of God and our personal testimony. Tell people what the Bible says and what the Lord has done in your life. (Isa. 55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. ) That passage means whatever you say from God's Holy Word and what He has done in your life, will not return empty. You may never know how the Lord will use it. Perhaps it will play in the minds of those you witness to, to the point that they share what you said with someone else and that person is the one the that comes to know Jesus. Remember, people have to make the choice, so don't get discouraged. People may not accept it, but they will not have an excuse that they never heard it.

As far as the approaching part, always look for opportunity. When an opportunity arises, pray for the Lord's guidance and go for it. There are practical things like wearing Christian tee shirts, carrying your bible. Don’t be ashamed. (Jesus speaking: Mark 8:38 "If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.")

When someone states a religious belief, ask them what they base that on. (Most people have no bases for what they believe. It just sounds good to them so they believe it.) Don’t be afraid to be different than those who don't know Christ. You are different. Wonderfully different because you have a hope that you desire to pass to them. Make sure you have fellow Christians praying for you. I will be. <<Smile>>

Siren_Cytherea answered Monday October 4 2004, 10:43 pm:
Well, a gospel song is a good way to go about getting your message across. Gospel songs are awesome if you're a good singer and you can really get into it - like, if you FEEL what you're singing about. However, do realize that not everyone will agree with you.
I'm technically jewish, for instance, and my choir's singing a gospel piece. It doesn't mean anything to me because I don't believe in jesus, so I find it repetitive and boring. I believe in God, just not quite like that.
It's great that you wanna stand up for what you believe in, and singing a gospel song is a great way to show people you're a strong christian.
As far as approaching people into asking God into their lives...I wouldn't, exactly. People should be able to believe what they want to, and not have to actually get into a religion if they don't want or need it.
I say if they wanna "ask God into their lives," let them do it on their own.
But I'm all about freedom of choice, man. ^_^
Lol hope this helped on some level!

aww that's such an awesome question! If you didn't already guess I'm a christian too! ;) I'm assuming if ur a strong christian (sry if I'm wrong) that u go to church. If I was you I would pick my favorite hymn...upbeat song or something u sing at church. When you go to church listen and when something really catches ur ear try to learn that. For me I love the song Hungry, or Isn't he. There are so many that I love. As for the sharing with people. first of all, I have a passion for showing people that I am a christian too. I think one of the best ways to start off showing that is being happy all the time. showing christ's love to everyone. then slip in a few words about him mention church and ur bible and things like that. then when u've built a relationship with a person u can start to share the gospel. good luck don't let anyone bring u down! much love, your sister in christ,
danae

Oh man please, you really don't hafta show anyone how strong a christian you are, and yes you should sing if you want to sing a gossiple song, only if you really want to though. Also don't ask people to accept god into there lives, sure your helping spread christianity, but thats where the crusades and missionaries screwed up, they forced their religion down other peoples throats, just let them come on their own time.

Hey there....first of all approaching people and tellin them about God is super hard and it always starts out with establishing a relationship with the person your trying to reach...and just be an example for them on how you live for Christ..you force the gospel down their throat...they have to be willing to hear it...and if people see you living for Christ they will notice something different about you and ask wahts the difference in you and that is a perfect opportunity to share the gospel and your testimony...also if a friend is feelin down just share with them what makes you happy (God and Jesus) maybe tell them a few verses that says God never wastes a hurt or something of that kind....also I couldnt even be more happy how your willing to sing in front of a bunch of people about your love of Christ....but also you have to check with the school if that is ok because of the whole seperation of Church and state thing......songs i would recommend would be...Breath...The Nails in your Hands.....or We fall down....
