the only way i can get a cell phone is if i pay for it, and i was just wondering how many ppl felt that it would be worth it?

i wouldnt get one bcuz if you waste all your money paying for that cell phone then you really dont have any money to go to the mall or movies. and if you really cant go out whats the point in a cell phone? Think about it .. hope i helped =)

i wuld buy the cell phone and buy a prepaid card and see if u really need it and use up the minutes...also u mite need a job or sumthin to pay for each month if u get a plan

The best cell phone to start out with is probably a trac phone.. Like a Nokia or maybe even a virgin Mobile.. Depending on what brand you get they are less then $100.. and you buy your phone cards... with the virgin mobile you get 20 dollars on your phone for 20 dollars.. 30 for 30 and so on.... Its very easy to use.. and this way.. you can pay for your own cell phone.. My sister has a virgin mobile phone... So this is the way you should go.. Hope I helped..

Get a Prepaid Cellfone. Then u can just buy minutes as u need them without having to be tied with a contract. Thats what I have. I would recomend Verizon Prepaid tho. Go to a verizon wireless carrier and get one. The actual Tracfone brand of fones.. really suck!! They are SOO expensive. For like $80 u get the same amount of minutes u get from verizon for $45. I have Tracfone and my sister has Verizon. I would DEFINITLY recomend Verizon over any other prepaid plan.

i think its worth it if your old enough....like if your old enough to stay out past eight and if you dont have a curfue or if your old enough to party but if your like 13 or younger its a waist cuz yes you might think its cool but thats all you will use it for...to look cool and a cell isent worth if you only have that in mind

My mom says the same thing.Yeah,granted I don't drive so I don't have an actual emergency or anything.So if you do have your own car or something it would definately be a need.If you just want to chat with your friends and be one of those loud and annoying people on their cell phones that I want to murder no.It's not worth the money.You can run up your parents phone bill for that.

A few years ago, I wanted a cell phone and my parents said that I had to pay part of the bill so I could be responsible. I didn't mind about that but each month, the bill gets higher and higher. So a cell phone is okay to have because there are free nights and weekends but it's the same thing as a regular house phone just wireless and you have to pay more. Just remember, you'll get suck of it after a while. That's just my opinion so please don't rate me low just because of my opinion. Hope I helped :)

i definetly think its worth it for certain people...if you have alot of talkative friends that you think would call...then yeah...and if youre not old enough to drive then its great to call people for rides...but if ur the opposite of this then no i dont think so...itd be a waste of money...hope i helped (please rate!)

You can get cells for free! As long as you add it to the plan that has the phone It's ok! If your parents have cingular they can get a free color picture phone for 9.99 a month! If you don't have a plan I would Strongly ercomend cingular.

it depends on what you would be using it for. most plans have lots of minutes and the lowest priced plans range from $30-$50 a month. so you would have to decide if you will have that much money to part with every month, and if you are going to use up most of the minutes in the plan. i think it also depends on how old you are. if you're old enough to drive and are out alot then you would probably use it more than if you are just at your house.
maybe you should look into those track phone things. im not sure how it works but they let you buy minutes instead of paying per month.
but anyway its worth it if you plan to use it and are willing to pay for it!

It`s really not worth it. My parents pay for mine, but I don`t use it much anymore. It`s not as great as I thought It`d be. You should spend your money on clothes and such for now.
