A New Me
This question is gonna be long so moderators, please don't delete this question. I need to explain myself a little bit before I can explain my question. I'm a 14 year old girl, I'm 5'6, and I weigh 113 pounds. For all my life, I thought I was ugly or below average looking. I have never had a boyfriend but now I think guys are gonna start liking me and then I might get a boyfriend. Well lately, I've been getting great comments like I'm hot or really pretty. Today, I went to the beach with my mom and my sister because we had "to bond more" lol yeah right. When I was walking to the car to go home, a few African Americans and white guys hit on me lol. They said "Damn girl you're fine and you gots a nice ass and legs". After what happened today, I'm feeling more confident about what I look like. I'm going into the 8th grade soon and I think I might get a few boyfriends during the school year. I am done growing in height wise and I think my beauty phase is coming in lol because now people think I'm hot and stuff. Ok for my question, do you think I might get my first boyfriend this year because of what has and is happening to me? If this question isn't too difficult for you, I would really appreciate it if you can answer it. Thanks

ok, guys that girls want to date don't care about looks first off. so yeah you'll probably get a boyfriend, but don't be surprised if he's only dating you for your looks. guyz are stupid anyway. don't get your hopes up, but then again, i'm a 15 year old overwieght never had a bf chic totally jealous of you, so i would just delet this if i were you.

ok u hafta be really confident in yourself.. becuase guys know when a person is confident. but dont be stuck up... because they wont like that either.. basically just be yourself and have confidence that u can get a boyfriend... not just because of your looks, but also because of the way u act.. your personality. so just be yourself and love your self n have fun! hope this helped.

well if you're becoming more attractive then chances are that more boys will be interested with you. but the thing is if they are saying things like "damn baby you're fine" and "you got a nice ass and legs" they aren't exactly the kind of guy you want to go out with. a guy needs to respect you and like you for who you are... not what you look like. if you have a great personality then you're all set. if you're pretty then that's a plus! just make sure that if you do get a boyfriend he's not calling you "hot" all the time... if he tells you that you're BEAUTIFUL or really pretty then that's alot better than being called "hot" in my opinion being called hot is kind of a way for a guy to be saying "i want to get in your pants" and that's all that they want. if you have any questions about this subject feel free to IM me or Email me. hope i helped!

I'm sure you will get a boyfriend this year. Just watch out for the type of guys that are "players". During school keep in touch with your friends during the uglier years because you know they are your true friends.

ok gurl! i know wat yur goin threw i used to be really fat and i lost 35 lbs! i have never had a boyfriend and then this summer has been a blast! i have guys hittin on me and everything and u feel like a goddess out there! but if your gettin the guys attention out there at the beach then there is a chance of you gettin a date for the 8th grade dance and maybe a boyfriend! juss keep yur head up high and dont let anyone put u down! its all in yur self confidence not your looks! goosluck gurl and let me know how yur new boyfriends go!

it htink that it is very likely that you will get a boyfreind. and it seems that since you thought you were an ugly duckling before, you stilll probably have a great personality. so i say go for it!! just have fun, but dont start hanging with the wrong crowd just cuz they tell you you are hot. just make the right choices. you sound smart. have fun!! hope i could help.

Yes I do think so. But let me tell you this just be careful. Because guess what you want somebody to like you for you. So when you find that right one who cares if it takes a month a year it doesn't matter. As long as you found true love.

I don't think its the "beauty phase" that will start getting you boyfriends, I think that its your newfound confidence. Let me explain, before you said you always thought of yourself as "ugly and below average looking" so you never had a boyfriend because of your low-self esteem. But now that your confidence is higher, you probably walk with your head higher and carry yourself better. Confidence is one of the top things that attracts people to you. Keep your confidence, and I am almost 100% sure that you will have a boyfriend.
