Is it possible to change certain characteristics that you don't like about yourself? Recently there have been things that I've done that I normally wouldn't do that have made me and my bf get into fights. They're little fights, and we always end up resolving them, but in the end I feel like a complete idiot for making such a big deal out of certain things. I want to change the way I react to things, and the way I think about certain things. Do you think that's possible?? Any suggestions?

Hi,
I don't know where to begin. At the moment I am in a state of flux, I seem to be either terribly depressed and generally fed up, or just downright angry. I've been with my partner for approx 8.5years, and like most we've had our ups and downs. He's a good deal older than me, however i've never saw that as an issue, apart from when his kids have tried to split us up. All his kids are now over 16, however he has one adult son, who's now 30, who for want of a better phrase is just a bad lot. He is periodically in and out of jail and until a few months ago, his father had little if no contact with him. However his girlfriend has just had a baby and it's all changed, again i seem to have been pushed aside and I resent it...

um hi. my ex-boyfriend and i broke up last year around june. he lied to me and stuff lik that, so i said dude i dont deserve this, and i walked away. but now that a new skool year has started, he keeps hanging around me and at dances he keeps telling his friends he wants to dance wit me. i dont know what to do because i really liked him and he rilly hurt me and i dont want to be hurt again. he says hes changed and hes sorry, but i still dont know. should i keep my distance? or should i try again?

um hey one of my friends is having a party at this place where our friends go for dances. i love going there, but (the dances are held twice a month) i have no beat and no rythem and usually i dont dance because im afraid people will laugh at my poor skills. i also dont know what to wear. im pretty much broke and my mom is pretty srict about what i wear. if anyone could help me. that would be great! thanx!

New romantic/early 80s

Very Stressed Out

I have a project for History Latin America which is due Wednesday this week. I basically have no idea how to start writing it or how even to write a draft.
I've tried everything from using my brain to think of possible ways to do this assignment but I just couldn't do it.
Here's the question pertaining to the Latin America project....
Should we or shouldn't we have a lieutenant governor in New Jersey? Present both sides. Also, the pros and cons of lieutenant governor.

hey, well i had this blackhead on my nose and stupid me picked it and now theres like a scab type thingie there is there any fast home remedy i can use to get rid of it, i heard after shave like kills the bacteria or something or toothpaste? any others?

Suicide

So, i've been thinking about but not really knowing if... I mean it's not that I want to commit suicide... I guess i'm just depressed and no I don't want to go on medication cause it's not like my brain is screwed up... it's just that I dunno I feel ugly I feel bad and whenever I tell anyone it doesn't seem to be relevant to them... and yes I know by posting this there will be people (stupid) saying that "YA U SHOULD U WORTHLESS PEICE OF ****" and I really don't care cause I probably should... I know that you guys probably don't care whether I live or not cause I mean it'll just mean one less mouth to feed and one more room to fill...

Ok I have this friend (we'll call her K) and were really tight and all. And April 2004 she introduced me to the guy she liked (we'll call him J) that lives in our neighborhood. k im 14/f and im sexually active, but every time i have sex, i have to pee afterwords, not just right afterwords, but like.. a couple days after i will have random urges to pee A LOT, but when i go, i never pee that much, do i have an STD? what's wrong? should i tell my parents? a doctor? please help ill rate

mom issues

My mom is very overprotective & strict. I'm 15 years old and can barely even go out with friends. She worries about me because I do have "bad" friends who are into drugs, alcohol, trouble, etc. I think she should trust me more because I have never done any of these things and I don't give into peer pressure. She doesn't even allow me to get into a car with anyone. She has some points in her argument, but I know how to stay safe and what not to do. I'm a teenager and I want to have fun right now. How do I explain this to her and get her to allow me to do more things? She's just mostly worried that I'll get hurt or something bad will happen to me.
