jokerzgrl answered Thursday December 2 2004, 11:24 am: Look at pictures of Cindi lauper or Maddona. Or if your punk, look to the Ramones for inspiration. You could watch movies like the Breakfast Club or The lost Boys to get a good idea on how people then dressesd. Wear a tu-tu, I swear to God that was the thing in the 80's, along with leg warmers. You could frizz your hair or spike it, again, for that punky grundgy look...Thats all I can think of right now, good luck.

zapreth answered Tuesday November 30 2004, 9:44 am: FUN! OK. 80's are back in style, but for true 80's stuff go to a thrift store. Plus it's soo much cheaper than a mall. Think Guess sweatshirts, mesh fingerless gloves, big hoop style plasic neon glow earrings, jelly bracelets, pink based eye shadows and lips stick and blush and gold glitter gel. Multi stripe slouch leggings, Oh so much stuff. Watch some VH-1. The 80's was built on cheezy pop music and Aqua-net hairspray. Some good old videos to see for ideas are Madonna's - Like a Virgin, Tiffany (I've forgotten the names of her stuff) I Think We're Alone Now, maybe?, Debbie Gibson - Electric Youth (Plus the purfume by that name is also great, but hard to find). If you can find a video of the series Square Pegs, you'll be set. Have a great time!! I think looking for the stuff will be as fun if not more so than the party! allie101 answered Tuesday November 30 2004, 7:36 am: hi. this is a great theme! wish i was going. Whatyou should do is start by looking around, look at different shops and choose the best out fit. Think about the 80's - flares, hipsters etc. You can probably get these from shops in the mall as they are all back in fashion. The 80's hairstyle was big hair - think tina turner! and your make up should be bright but not over done!
hope you have a great time [ allie101's advice column | Ask allie101 A Question ]
