Flexability

Ok my brother is teaching me some martial arts. My main probleam is flexability, right now he is on vacation then he will be in a police academy six months, i want to practice my stretching increase my flexability. im having trouble finding good stretches. so if you could give me a link that has stretches and instructions i would appreciate it and any tips would be good

friend and diet

for the past few weeks I have been eating great, exercising a TON and losing weight! But whenever I hang out at my friend's house, I eat a crazy amount of food! How can I control myself when I'm around all of that sugary junkfood?

Treadmills

I'm trying to improve my mile time by running on the treadmill and increasing the speed obviously. I know that I can run the mile in 9:30 secs. I dont know if that's my best, but it's the only time I know, so I'm wondering what speed you think I should put the treadmill on to obtain that time or somewhere around there (9:15-9:45 range). also, how do you know? is there like a button where you can see which speed will run the mile in that time. haha idts, but maybe. lol

Building indurence(sp)

Ok
So in 5 days (counting today) I have school. My school campus is like a college campus, we have to walk so far sometimes. Anyway, I have very bad muscle pains and joint problems, and my doctor doesn't want me to do sports and all that...BUT, he is ok with doing some physical stuff...but since doing sports was how I got in shape. I need to build up my indurence...does anyone know any easy things that I can do that won't hurt my body to an extreme but yet build my indurence up some? I'm a 15/f...XD in case that helps

controlling breathing

Don't think i am talk9ing about stamina, because i have decent stamina but i have been told before that i have a wild, uncontrolled style of breathing when i run, i feel this is shaving off my full potential so what arethe proper ways and how can i improve

Increase Stamina

Ok so here's the thing, i have 5 days until football tryouts, i can run about a mile without to much trouble, but i want to increase my stamina more. Will i be able to make much improvement if everyday up until tryouts i do cadio training like this

stretching
30 min stationary bike
wind sprints
jump rope
run
high steps
kareoke
stationary bike

i can't believe it

about two weeks ago I weighed 134 pounds. I wanted to lose some pounds and get fit so for about a week I ate 1000-1200 calories a day and worked out very heavily. at the end of the week was at 129, and had also lost 1% body fat! I was really excited so I continued doing that. This past week I have been eating about the same. I have also been exercising, except that instead of doing the elyptical machine, I have been running a lot. I've run 6 miles a day three times this past week!
I got on the scale tonight and I was 135 and my body fat had increased.
I was so excited about losing weight last week! what am I doing wrong, this just doesn't make sense! I have been exercising so much this week, biking, running, crunches.

get into shape

so school is almost starting and i want to get into better shape. im going to be very busy because i am in the marching band and that is like 24/7 so i dont have a huge option. i want to tone up my stomach...ALOT. and my legs just a tad. im not sure if i have time to go running so i am stuck with a bike that doesnt move and anything i can do in my room.

if i do sit ups or crunches how many should i do a night? school for me starts on the 5th. i want to try to get as much done as i can. im not expecting alot becuase i know it is a short period of time so please do not tell me its hopeless or whatever. how long should i go on that non moving bike thingy? what other stretches?


also is it possible to get rid of cellulite?

lose some more

at the beggining of june i wieghted 146 and now i weight 124...i have been eating about 1200 calories a day and some days i eat between 1500-2000....i am working out alot...how can i stay at this current weight and possible lose some more...i would in a few months like to be at about 115-120.... i am 5'2 and i think this would be a healthy weight for me!

Which is better?

Okay right now I'm doing 60 minutes of cardio (elliptical) a day. I know this sounds like alot but I started out with 15 minutes a day about 3 months ago and I've been working my way up gradually.

I haven't seen any changes in my weight since I started doing 60 minutes cause I only started a few days ago but right now I'm doing the 60 minutes all in one go, which is fine with me, I'm not getting worn out or feeling weak or anything

But I'm wondering, would it be better to do the 60 minutes all in one go or do 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon?

I'm talking in terms of WEIGHT LOSS here. Not in health, I don't care which is healthier because I already lead a pretty healthy li...

HELP!! need advice on body mass/weight and control

ok I posted a question before on how to gain weight and muscles but at the same time to not grow too much fat and ppl told me to eat more protein/do bodybuilding exercises and lay off the fat

i have been consumed lots of pasta/bread/fish/cereal/water/chicken/beef/pizza over the last one month or so.The reason of me doing this is that I'm now skinny,and I want to grow more 'meat' so to be bigger.

1)The only place that seems to be growing bigger is my stomach,how do I get the meat or the food to go to my arms and body(I want to grow my whole body,as in bigger like sideways as well,and not just my stomach)

2)Once I get the meat to my entire body,I obviously exercise to get muscles,the problem now is...

Is there anyway to make you a faster runner... like instantly
I'm extremely athletic, but I have to run a 5:50 mile, so I was wondering:
Does like adrenaline make you run faster? Like "fight or flight?"
If so, how can you make your adrenaline higher?
Also, any other ways to make you run a fast mile time?

hmm. weight issue

i'm about 5'6 i guess you could say and i weigh about 120-125
somewhere around that.
i wanna weigh 106.
but idk its so hard for me to lose it! i have love handles and such and i just want them to be goneee!
plus i feel HUGE when i'm with my itty bitty friends
so any advice here?

neck pain

so at cheer today i did something to my neck, i have no clue what.

all i was doing were log rolls, backing for them.


my parents are tight on money, and i don't want to go to the chiropractor.
is there any way to fix it.
it's on the back left side, and it hurts when i turn my head.

any way to help!
