Buying a Computer

I would like some advice on what to look for in a decent, used Laptop computer. I'm looking to use this for internet use, Word programs etc, and pretty light on the game play with a CD Rom and floppy. What is the price range I'm looking at for something very decent but also not new, because I only have about $350 max to work with.
Is it lame of me to think to find a good laptop on ebay?
If I try to find one on ebay, what specs should I look for? I'm not up on what RAM, ROM, is considered 'good', or anything about internet cards.
I was also told that laptops are basically useless, and that if I want a personal computer I should just get a desktop one. How true is this?
Is my search hopeless? <...

AHHHHHHHHHH help pleease i put on that fake tanner crap yesterday and today it looks so gross it's all blotchy and stuff so is there anything taht i can use to take it off or not make it as noticeable! i dont want to ask my mom cause i wasn't suposed to use it without asking

So, I've known this girl since 6th grade. We're both going into 12th, now. I realized that I was in love with her about two years ago. I moved one year ago. Up until then, we had more or less palyed a game of cat and mouse: I'd be dating someone when she wanted to date me, and visa versa. So, we never got around to actually dating one another, though we had gone on one or two sparadic dates.
Here in lies my dilema. I sincerely love this girl, and would do anything for her. But, I live a good 600 miles away now, and though we keep close touch, I'm torn apart by the fact that I can't have her, and that I have to watch her date other guys which I know don't love her as much as I do. Hey advice-giving people! I have this friend who acts like I should be devoted to him and I should have no other friends beside him since I've known him since pre-k. Ok, well, one of my other friends, Jessica, asked me to go to the beach with her and I said sure because well.. the beach ROCKS! But anyways.. We told John Ross (the obsessive friend) not to tell Brittany (our other friend) because we knew it would make her mad at us. Ok, well he went & told her & it made her mad. He's ALWAYS doing stuff like that. How do I tell him to shut the freak up without losing him as a friend?

I have a q!? I haven't had my period for last month yet. I mean, I usually have it at the very last day of that month... which would be june 30th, but it's now the fourth and I haven't had it yet. Not even cramping. I have recently been sick with a kidney infection and I have NEVER skipped a period before. I don't know what to do. I mean, I did have sex, but used a condom. PLEASE HELP ME....! I rate SKY HIGH!

Im getting a new puppy and its a full blood pit bull. Shes solid white and her right ear is black and some of her neck but other then that shes snowy white. Im having trouble finding a name.

Okay. I never ever cry even when im alone. Ive never fallin in love never even close im more like a guy then a girl. Because im a player and everything like that. What all females think the average guy is. Well now im dating a guy named Evan. Hes so cute and we mesh so well together. He makes me happy im not even playing him!! Is it possible to not be able to kiss someone because their nose is "too big"? I haven't kissed anyone yet but I've heard stories of girls that's noses were "in the way" when they were trying to make out with their boyfriends. So0rry if this sounds stupid it's just, my boyfriend made a comment about mine && now I'm kind of self-counsious (sp??) about it.

well, my bestfriend ( guy )( who likes me ) just slept over my boyfriend house last night and he is telling me all this stuff about how my boyfriend was talking to my bestfriend ( girl ) non-stop for like 2 hours this morning and last night. and my bestfriend (girl) isnt really that nice .. she always tries to make me jelous and shit. so i dont know if shes trying tog et me mad or if my boyfriend likes her ( cuz they liked eachother at the begining of the year )

ok I broke up with my bf and from doing that my bf and his friends found me and beat me up pretty badly....i meen no broken bones but still pretty badly....so I was wonderin if he can get in like trouble 4 that because i kno like at school wen kids beat eachother up they dont get in trouble and i was wondering if this is like that...(my ex also did this to his last gf)....and is this my fault because thats how I feel..that its my fault...cuz my ex said that it was and it kind of is because im the one who chose to break up with him in the first place...and thats y he beat me up with his friends...well ya so do u think its my fault 2?

hey guys...im really scared!! ok...i used to be really good friends with this guy and then we didnt really talk for a while, and in the past few months we have been talking alot and become really close again, well about 45 minutes ago i found out that his dad killed himself...what do i say to him? i mean HE doesnt even know yet...his mom called me before she told him...i used to be pretty close to his dad too...he didnt seem the type to do something like that...i have been crying my eyes out since i found out and when this guy does find out, what do i say to him? please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I like this guy! Hes sooo adorable... but the problem is hes 18 and im like in love with his eyes and EVERYTHING! He has the cutest smile...EVER and we flirt constantly! But the problem is (again) is that I dont know how to talk to him!! I mean i am sooooooo speechless around him!!! My heart sinks and just gets all butterfly like...ha.. someone help me!
