American History

I am taking an in-depth American History class and our textbook isn't exactly helpful to me because it's so complex and I usually like to use other textbooks when reading along in case I don't understand something in one book, I can look for clarification in the other. Are there any good books (not textbooks-too expensive) on American History I can buy and peruse? Do you think the SAT II US History would help?

So one of my friends and I have everynight been exercising and trying to eat healthy.
And its finally starting to show in our abs, that we've been doing crunches and ab workouts.
My other friend whos not exactly in shape, always tells us negative things abotu what were doing, its like she acts like she doesnt want us to lose weight?
I think she might be jealous, but still, she can exercise and stuff too right?
What do you think is going on?

Ok, my boyfriend and I have only been together for a little over a month but I can't think of anyone I'd rather be with as of this current moment in time. But we've had some trust issues (over things like cheating) in the past,which we are slowly resolving, and it doesn't feel right together anymore (but I can tell that if we make it through this, we will be that much closer). I'm almost afraid of not being with him. However, this summer I'm meeting a ton of new people (new cross country team, new band, camp)and I just want to be single and free to have a good time with anyone. I know you are going to say that I'm young and have a lot of time to worry about this kind of stuff but I just really need advice...should I stay with just him, brea...

I have my period now, but yesterday and today when I use the bathroom, my period is brown. Why is it like that? Usually it's red. I am kind of sick, does that affect it? Is it normal?

alright well, im 15 and my friends are always telling me that you are supposed to shave your pubic hair..but...when ever i do it..it hurts. well i just i don`t know how or what to use. & i would ask one of them, but its more hard to do it with them knowing its me. i was wondering if you could give me some advice, of how to do it, or what to use or whatever. i would really appritiate it. i really neeed some help. =/ and since i`ve tried and it hurts..does that means something is wrong with me? becus i just did it with a razor and shaving cream. ughh helppp.

How do you make a nacho bean and cheese salsa dip? I'm not sure entirely what I am talking about. The bean is like light brown and mushed and underneath it is a layer of melted cheese and salsa? My memory is bad.. has anyone eaten this kind of thing before?
