hey im 15/f i love the show Miss teen USA! i've gotten applications to go on the show but i never actually went because i dont think i have what it takes. How can i be as skinny as those girls? I try to eat healthy i just dont have time for exercising in my schedule. Also i wanna know how i do my hair and make-up like them.. I know they have stylist and stuff but i would really like to look like teen usa! Any advice on any of these things would do! Thanks

talking to professors

I'm a professional student, and I've been wanting for a few weeks to talk to a professor because I share some intellectual interests, but I feel awkward starting the conversation because I'm not asking for anything specific. I like the person, and the person has been very good to me, but I feel like I'd be taking up the person's time and bothering the person if I go talk to the person without a specific need. I also really could use someone off of which I could bounce some career thoughts in the field, although there's no need for me to decide anything specific now. I feel somewhat intimidated by the person, although the person has a reputation for being a good advisor. How can I get a conversation started?

Hey im 15/f i just got braces a little over a month ago.. and before i got braces i was really outgoing and was always wanted to be the center of attention. But now that i have braces i've noticed that i dont want to be that anymore because of my braces.. i guess im self consious.. Is there anything i can tell myself or do to make me become less self consious and be myself again? Any advice would help! thanks

my teeth are yellow..HOW?

is there something that will make your teeth yellower? because i hardly EVER drink any pop i usually drink alot of water or orange juice and i use this whitening stuff but my friends all have whiter teeth than me and they drink pop and all this stuff. is there foods or something that will do this to my teeth or any drinks i should stay away from? also is water like good for your skin will it help clear it up at all?

Ok, me and my boyfriend have been dating for about 19 days now. We still havent got through that "akward stage." I was just wondering if anyone had any topics that we could talk about to break the ice. I really like him, and he likes me. But all I can seem to talk about is how bored or tired I am. Its just like word vomit. We arent really into the same stuff though. We are both into animals, but that is about it. And im getting sick of talking about that. I want to tell him up front that I really like him, but im afraid that he dosent like me as much as i like him. Before we were dating we would be really romantic, but now that we are dating im more shy about it. Any ideas guys?? thanks in advance

So, I have this 12 year old cousin and she LOVES Vanessa Anne Hudgens (from High School Musical) and so this "vanessa" has a xanga--and I commented her like 10 times saying how fake she was and I even gave her proof!(she deleted all my comments though) Like if you search "Vanessa Anne Hudgens"..TONS of results would come up CLAIMING they were the "real Vanessa"--UGHHHHHH I'm trying to tell her that she's FAKE, but my cousin won't believe me. She INSISTS that this Vanessa is the real thing--and her friend believes that this Vanessa is real too.
Anyway, "Vanessa" has a slideshow and she put pictures of these STRANGERS that she calls her "friends"--and she gives out her screenname! Seri...

My friend broke his nose recently, does anyone know how long your nose stays swollen for? By 8 days after will it look somewhat normal? Like, not very noticable? Thanks, and I rate 5's!

ok this is a really weird question but if any of you use AIM and are all into like pretty profiles and stuff well if you've ever seen it.. like when you highlight something in the profile and theres text there, like its invisible then you highlight it and you see it. well how do you do that? usually i'd just copy and paste it but i don't know of anybody who has it anymore. and like if you try to use white text it comes up gray. so is there like a code or trick you have to do?? thank you

I'm going to the store tomorrow to get some.
Its my choice, but I'm getting some to help me gain weight.
I'm really skinny in my arms and legs and have a high metabolism.
Will they work? Are they healthy?
And like do you know any that are really good?

alright, im gonna attempt to keep this short and simple.

I am scared for my relationship

Hi I am 17 years old girl. I have not seen my boyfriend for a while and will not be seeing him for another two weeks. And I feel scared. I don't get to see him or really get to talk to him but that's not either of our faults. It kind of feels like we aren't together. Can my feelings weaken because I feel like we aren't together then get strong again when I see him when he gets home?please help me

I messed up a party invitation; I want to make amends

I invited a new friend and his daughter to attend the 5th birthday celebration of my daughter. This was in part because I was returning the favor, and in part because this new friend is someone I have found to be a great guy who I like hanging out with.
Unfortunately, I messed up the invitation, and told him to show up two hours late. I didn't realize what I'd done until the party had already started and it was too late for him to come. I called him and apologized profusely, and he said he understood. What I feel worst about is that I'm sure his daughter was very disappointed (we held the party at a popular kid's restaurant, and of course she missed out).

I purchased a ipod video a little while ago, and i recently added a video to it. [ Season 1 episode 1 laguna beach ] and it will play the video but i cant hear anything at all. has anyone ever expeirenced this problem before. can you plz help me? thanx in advance.
