leaving a 9 year relationship

i'm female, 38 years old. I cannot come to a decsision about leaving my 9 year relationship. we are not married and have no children. he is a heavy drinker and smoker. he will not consider stopping drinking or smoking. he works but i know that i will not have a secure financial future with him. i have a good job and pay a majority of the bills. i love him but cannot decide if financial security is a good enough reason to leave.

The guy i like has a girlfriend which i just found out on friday when me and my friends saw him at the mall. But when he walked by me he didnt even say hi like he always does and his girlfriend was staring at me like alot. So why do you think he acts so shady around me?

So I'm 16 and a junior in high school.
There's two guys that im "talking" too.
One goes to my school,is a junior and really nice and friendly and funny and whatnot,but he's really nerdy and not that good looking but I like him for his personality ,but i barely find him attractive at all.We get along really well,but he's a virgin and has never really done anything like that,which I have and I'm popular and have a lot of friends and whatnot,so it'd be out of the ordinary for me to go out with him,but I do like him.Then theres this 19 year old,who lives near me and is pretty cute.He as well has a good personality and is really nice ,he's got a good job and ofcourse he's not a virgin so he's more experienced and such,but...

Ok here goes... I am a 22 year old female... And it's this guy that I had a crush on since eighth grade... I mean he's really hot... And about a two weeks ago I was out with my friends... And I spotted him... Well we were in a night club so I told my friends about how I had a crush on him and... When I turned my back they went up to him and told him I liked him so... Hoookay....so I've met this guy online (this was almost a year ago) and we've decided we are going to meet eachother in person for the first time...(We're meeting in a VERY public place, and I'll have someone with me and such) However, I think it's possible that I might really, really like this guy! I know I won't know for sure until I actually meet him, I'm still scared...though he's seen my picture and told me that I'm pretty, I'm still not entirely confident about my looks (Particularly my teeth...) and I'm worried about saying or doing the wrong things, yadda' yadda'...so I guess what I'm asking is for advice from anyone who has met someone online and then in person...thoughts? Suggestions?

To talk or not talk?

My boyfriend is in the Air Force, he is getting deployed to Afghanistan next month. I am stressing out over this REALLY bad, not because I think our relationship will go down the toilet, we have a very strong stable relationship, but mostly because I am worried about him for obvious reasons. (Death, Injury, and especially how it will mentally affect him) He knows that I am upset (obviously) but I dont think he knows the extent of my stress, like losing sleep, nightmares etc. Websites I read basically tell me not to talk to him about it because it might "stress him out more". But that goes against my personal policy of talking to each other with the truth and telling each other exactly what we feel. So, what the heck do I do?

So October 12 is going to be the one month anniversary for me and my boyfriend :) I'm excited, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas as to what I should give or make him to celebrate? Any ideas for how to spend the day together, like what to do?
We live next door which means we get to see each other a fair amount of time, so we haven't exactly been on an official "date" because we just hang out at each other's houses. But I'd like to do something a little special. Thanks!

Ok i gave up on liking my friend hes a total immature jerk. i am usually working a lot so when I am off which is 2 days during the week and every other weekend i stay at my girlfriends house but I went yesterday to go see family for 2 hours and she got upset how can I tell her we need to be able to go see family or other friends without makin her mad? she even got mad because i had to go home before dark once to help my mom with something outside.
