shopping for a teenage boy

Ok, so I'm a 16 year old girl and one of my best friends is a guy and he is turning 16 in a couple months and i know boys are hard to shop for so i decided to start brain-storming early. I don't really know what to get him so if you have any ideas that would be great. Also he is interested in: scotland (he is part of the Sinclair clan), paintball, fencing, BMX, japan and the martial arts, video games, anime, the renaissance era, and fantasy
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated and naturally i can't get anything really expensive. Thanks in advance.

Writing a book, need assistance

I am beginning to write a book. I'm going to type it on Microsoft Word but I don't know the format I should use. Can someone tell me the font and text size I should type it in and margins and stuff like that. Thank you.

I have a webcam, attached to my computer. The software that came on the computer [sony capture utility] is absolutely terrible. it doesn't record right, and it randomly speeds up. I'm not asking how to fix it, but I'd like to know if there are any programs out there that will record. Thanks.

Well, basicly I really want to become a cheerleader. I want to know that before i try out, is there anything I could do at home to make me more flexible or anything like that. Anything that could help me increase my chance of being on a squad.

im 5'5 and weigh around 120, i think my stomache is a bit over the limit. the rest of my body is normal tho. except right below my butt, its not thaat fit. does anyone know of any home work out type things?? like certain crucnhes or leg workouts of any sort that can help put me in shape and make my stomahce flat? like a 5 step kind of thing, or whatever, u know. anything would help:] thanks

so basically, I have started to like my friends ex, thing is, you know it's her ex. I've recently stopped talking to her because of an argument, and I'm not sure if it will ever be resolved properly anyway. He so lovely. she dumped him, and she didn't even like him to start with, and nothing happened, they didn't even kiss but they hate each others guts, and I'm still mates with some of her friends, so I don't know what to do, could I please have some help.

I really hate being jelous of people...but when one of my friends gets everything: everyone likes her, she gets stright A's, got into the TOP chior, has gone to EVERY top band thing, pretty, outgoing, everything i am not....I don't want to be jelous of her.....
Any ideas on how to make myself feel better around her?(everytime i am around her i feel so inferior and like she could be friends w/ better people)

O.k so i am having troble figuring out if i like this guy. He is nice, and cute and funny. But i think i like him but then he will be mean(not really mean just a normal kidding mean) and i take it to heart everything he says. when he walks by i feel the need to be next to him, but then he is mean and i can't even stand to see him anymore. This is really confusing...
Can you by any chance tell me ways of figuring out if i like him or not?
(oh and another thing, my friend LIKES him too.)

WHen Should I walk away?

My best friend is going through a lot of crap in his life as far as his family and his dad's drug issues and such (which wouldn't have been a huge deal if his dad wasn't in a coma 3 years ago and is finaly getting his life back, but he's wasting it on druggies and neglecting his son.. plus his mom isn't in his life so hes being raised by grandparents and such because his dad is a mess)
So we were tight but recently he started treating me like $hit! He gives me dirty looks a lot of the time and it hurts like he11! I'm supposidly one of his best friends here. He's being nice to EVERYONE except me. he's being nicer to my good friend Aly than he is to me.
I just feel so hurt that he's taking out his issues on me. He claims...

I have Mono

I've had Mono for about 3 weeks. How much longer might it last? My main question, though, is does it affect your moods? I've been super lethargic, irritable, tired, depressed, etc. I do have actual Depression. So it is just that, or both combined, or what? I don't like feeling so emotinally fragile. My body is weak and apparently so is my mind. . . ? Thanks for answers.
