hi im trying to find some good books to read.
ive read a lot of books and i read everything that my friends suggest and thats a lot of books. l0l
anyways i need some books to read that are 7th grade level and higher (im a really good reader, so preferrably higher levels). i like books that have drama, or ficional history like forever amber, stuff about school, boyfriends, backstabbers, sex, drugs, money, sports, basically anything.
please tell me what its about and/or the author.
any advice is greatly appreciated =]

Journalist. I'm just a freshmen, but lately i've been really thinking about my future.. Should i keep on pursuing being a Journalist? What i most want to know is..Do Journalist get paid really good? & what kinda of Journalist are there? I get this question from teachers and i keep telling them i don't know because i honestly didn't even know there where different types! I look up to Christiane Amanpour, i want to be like her, traveling around the world and stuff. What..kind of Journalist is she?

Trouble making friends..

So, i just started freshmen year about three weeks ago and i yet to make one single friend. I see alot of cool looking people who seem to look like they're interesting in the same music as me by their style but i haven't worked up the courage to talk to anyone yet. I'm like, afraid they'll think i'm some sort of weirdo, hah-ha.I don't know, i guess i'm just being a bit self-consious.. eh, any tips on being a bit more social please?
Oh! & any REALLY cheap sites where i could buy band shirts and bags and such? Lol. :P

general reading questions

in english class, we have begun a book that i skimread over the summer. there will be both a writing assignment as well as an actual written examination at the end of the book. i want to get the most that i possibly can out of this book NOW so that i don't have to stress before the exam, etc.
the book is the grapes of wrath, and, as i stated earlier, i skimread it over the book and i do have a general idea of what happens in the book.
but i wanted to know a few things.
PLEASE NOTE: NO SPARKNOTES / CLIFFNOTES / ETC.
(1) what can i do to accurately prepare for the exam at the end of the book (which will be in a few weeks)?
(2) should i write a summary in my own words...

Who's lying?

I'm 21/f, the guys are 21 and 23. They're both generally childish, but one of them is brutally honest. One of them lies, but sucks at it...but this is quite a bit more subtle than a lie, which is why I'm confused.
I dated the 23 year old for awhile, and we've had kind of an on-and-off relationship for about three years. We've settled into a very solid friendship, and have always been honest with each other about everything, whether it was really necessary to say it or not. so when im on my period i get SUPER emotional.
normally im really good at hiding my feelings.
butt if something isnt big but it just upsets me a little i start crying.. like MAJORlY.
to where i cant even hold it in.
&& some of my friends have even called me bi polar..
like today i was wearing a thong.
and i started my period.
so i got a pad from a friend.
then at lunch i freaked out thinking it was going to go through.
then my friend made me laugh so bad. (:

15/female/sophomore in high school
Lately I feel so stressed to the max, like I'm to the point of breaking. The new school year just started a few weeks ago, and I already feel like I'm drowning in most all of my classes. I've always thought of myself as smart, but it just seems that my new classes (which are all either Honors or AP) are just too hard for me- basically impossible. I can hardly ever focus on my work, and if I even try I don't understand what to do- which prompts me to lose focus again.
I've missed four days of school already, all of which have been because of working so late into the night (it takes forever for me to complete my work, since it's so difficult for me) that I either don't get it a...

VIDEOS: iPod Classic 80GB

So, I'm a huge fan of Supernatural and I bought the DVD boxset of series three in HMV yesterday. I also bought an iPod online, to treat myself for my birthday and good GCSEs.
It's an 80 GB iPod Classic. I know you can put videos on it, like from the itunes site -
but how would I go about getting the supernatural DVD episode I want on there? How would I do it?
Please help if you know anything or have ever put tv shows or films from DVDs onto your iPod Classic.

possible computer viruss

alright soo i was on my other computer today (not this one) andd i was trying to download aim+, but i think when i went to the website, it was a fake aim+ website that made me download a virus! because all of a sudden these weird things started popping up and it said "virus detected" blah blah blah and when i pressd cntrl+alt+delete it said "Task Manager Disabled By Administrator" which i definately did not disable it! anyyways now theres this weird "MSvista security center" thinggy on my computer and it keeps telling me i have viruses and that i must buy a pakage to delete virus threats? and i keep trying to get on my internet and what not and it wont let me.. idk what to do can anybody help me?

Getting Over Self Conscieness

I'm 16. I'm sexually active. I've been with 3 guys. I understand that I'm young, but thats not the point here.
I'm a chubby girl. I'm not exactly fat, but I do have a lot of pudge in my stomach area. Every other area of my body is fine except for my stomach, in my opinion.
When I'm having sex, I get really self conscious about my weight. That's why I refuse to be on top. I want the courage to be on top and to take control without being self conscious about my weight.
Besides losing weight, what are some things that I can do to feel more comfortable?

Whats the highest General Offense Character?

I know someone who was arrested and he has about 14 charges and on a certain website it lists all his charges and theres a category that says ''General Offense Character'' and all his charges are ''principal''. Does anyone know what that means? If its good or bad? Thanks in advance.

Housebreaking: puppy peeing

Female puppy, neutered, 15-16 weeks old. Mostly housebroken. 2nd floor apartment. Why does she (erratically) choose to pee inside? Two days ago, I walked her for 30 minutes, then she played 10 minutes in yard with her downstairs dog friend. They both charged upstairs and she peed once she arrived at the top. Yesterday, she dozed under the table while my wife and I played Monopoly. I went to the bathroom: she came in for a scratch & petting, then took 2 steps, squatted and peed. She had several outdoor opportunities while we played. What would make her want to do this?
