16 year old depresssed...how can i stop being depressed

how can i stop being depressed.
All i want to do is sit home
and listen to music..and imagine if i was thinner and prettier..
i havent had a boyfriend in 3 years and my mom told me today that she thinks im wasting away the best years of my life
i dont want to do anything..i think my weight is holding me back im 5'3 and i weight 176 pounds..
i have been gaining weight left and right because i dont want to do anything..yeah sometime i go out with friends and with my family..but right now they went to see the miley cyrus movie..and i didnt want to go..my mom said that i need help and i need to snap out of it..but i dont know what to do..HELP what can i do..i dont think i can afford mental help..!

Prom hair to go with dress

For prom i have a light green dress that has very intricate beading on the top half...and is a poofy dress. I have long hair and i'm thinking i should probably put my hair all up for prom because i want ppl to be able to see the beading.. but it doesnt have that interesting of a back or anything.. so i'm kinda stuck. I dont particularly like my face in in all updo. so what should i do ? a half updo would probably still cover up the beads.. but thats kinda what i want to do. the lady at the store said to do up because i normally wear my hair down...

i met this guy named chris at a kick-back. and he thought i was 18.. so like he started talking to me and stuff.. ad we ended up kissing.. but not having sex because im a virgin and i wasn't going to give it up to him. so when he found out i was 16 he was like tripping lol. cause he's a marine and hes going to be a cop in 2 years and what happened is illegal you know. i've been seeing him every saturday for 3 saturdays straight. cause we hang around with the same people.. the second time we hung out he talked to me but like it was whatever.. his friend told me that he liked me but that i was young.. i see older guys dating underage girls all the time.. but yeah and i saw him this past saturday cause we had a bonfire at the beach and it was ...

I'm getting worried

So for the past couple of months some things have been happening to me that are starting to make me worry.
I've always had the most amazing memory, I've always been able to remember small details about everything. Like what the weather was like that day or what I was wearing, how I felt, etc.
But for the past couple of months my memory has been bad. I still remember things from a long time ago but I can't remember recent events anymore. And it's not normal for me.
I don't remember what I did over the weekend and who I talked to and what about.
I don't do drugs so that's not why my memory is slipping.
Also, I keep feeling like after I say something or do something, that I didn't really do it.

Okay well my dad's pretty old and so gardening is like a big part of his life. Well this morning, he bought like a ton of soil for the garden/flowers and stuff and the huge pile was in front of our house and, well, I thought it was okay in my opinion for him to leave it there because he came around every often or so to scoops some in the wheel barrow and go back to the back yard and that people would be respectful these days but I was wrong.
What's WITH the kids these days? They're rude, gangly, disrespectful kids that cuss almost bad as a sailor and you'd think that they learn to respects other people’s stuff, but they DON'T!

I'm 17 n a guy..well its been well over a year since me and my ex broke up, I still can't get over her! I find it really depressing, I can't seem to get the courage to find another girl to get with after my ex. I'm not sure if I can ever get back with my ex, but I want to try, without seeming desperate or anything. If I can't do that, can you help me find a way to gain courage and talk to and meet new girls?

Period

Is there any way to make your period come sooner? I have a very very very irregular period so I now have birth control to regulate it, only I cant start it until the sunday after my first period and that could be up to 2 months from now..I get my period once about every two and a half months, very rarely is it a month after the last, and I hate waiting and getting it when I least expect it...So is there any way that I can make it come sooner?

getting tested

how do you go about getting tested for herpes? there's a Teen Focus in my town.. is that what that's for? how much does it cost [no health insurance] and how long will it take to get the results back? i dont wanna go to my family doctor though.
a week ago i kissed this guy ONE time that i later found out has stage 2 herpes, and my throat has been a little sore lately, so i'm freaking out.
however after that i kissed another guy who i'm talking to, for the past 5 or so days and he went to his friends mom who's a physician to get his mouth checked out and she said he's clean and told him that i should be too even though she didn't see me. i'm really scared though, should i be worried?

Well I've been married goin on about a year, I love my wife, we've been together since middle school, and we've been havin sex since middle school! Its always been, good you know the basic sex life! Well here's the problem, I've always told her to up her anty u know(get a lil crazy in bed) well since we've been married she has, well not quite what I expected, she likes me to slap her and choke her, I've never been that wild, so I act like I love it, but I really can't stand it! I jus don't know how to tell her? Philosophical Question

I came across this book about acceptance, and how its at the center of everything. Basically it said that true happiness can be reached if one accepts his/her own reality as it is. Then I came across this quote that said "Grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference" which also preaches acceptance I guess. So I just wanted to know opinions here. Is acceptance the true secret to happiness or what other theories of reaching happiness have you come up with? I'm feeling a bit philosophical I guess...

my bf is nice, i wont deny that. he may be crude sometimes but hes a nice boy. problem is hes not that sweet. he doesn't do things that you wanna go awww. not that hes boring or anything, hes just not cute either. hes funny and stuff but i guess im such a girl that i fall for the stupid little things like being called princess and sent cute messages etc. i feel like this is keeping me from falling in love with him. its a bit shallow i guess but those things are what make me fall in love. but of course i dont want to tell him this, I dont want him to be sweet if its forced and he feels like he has to. so my question is how can i indirectly influence him be sweeter, or more romantic?

and used the dierect image to make my background
for myspace and now i can't delete the background
that i put on there and im stuck. and everytime
i try to erase and save it saves then i go to

Large Pores?

I normally just use a plain face wash by Neutrogena or something, and it's impossible for me to tell what my skin type is. I think it might be combination.
Well on my face, ESPECIALLY on my nose, cheeks, and chin, I have really big pores. They look like a lot of little black dots. I think it's causing me to break out a lot.
Are there any products you would recommend? Something I could find at WalMart or a local drugstore, please.
Home remedies are great, too.
