running a mile

ok, well i've never been the athletic type at all, especially when it comes to running. at school we're having a test and i have to be able to run a mile in less than 10:30... no big deal, right? well, for me it is. 10:30 was actually my best time this year as a practice, and i was barely able to do it. i'm supposed to just keep jogging at a steady pace and NOT stop to walk to make it, but the longest i can keep running is about half a mile, and even that's a stretch (the fastest i've fone that is about 4:35). i can't distract myself from the running like most people can. how can i possibly make this easier on myself (besides practice, because i HAVE been doing that and trying my best)? any good ways to distract myself and not think about t...

eating.

i think i have a problem or something.
its like no matter what i eat, im always hungry ! and i can never stop eating. i will just eat so much that my stomach starts to hurt & i feel like im going to throw up.

its been like this for a few weeks now and i dont know what to do.
i dont want to gain any weight because its bathing suit season, but i just cant seem to stop eating. Like i will eat a meal, and then go snack.

so is there anyway for me to stop eating 24/7?
or what are some really filling foods?

i went to the gym for the first time today, and this one girl kept wiping down the machine she just used when she finished. am i supposed to do that, and is it sick if i don't? like will people look at me and think that that's disgusting that i don't wipe down the machine?

I'm 5"1 female and I used to be around 87 pounds, but I put on about 8 pounds. I'm 95 pounds now, and the weight did NOT distribute all over my body.......it all went down directly to my thighs and it looks awful. The rest of my body is really skinny, yet I still have fat legs (my legs used to be long and thin......). I can't even wear my shorts anymore because it looks so gross.

What can I do about it? Exercising wouldn't do much.........the muscle would just take the place of the fat, and my legs would still look huge.

Well since it is soon going to be summer, i'm going to start wearing bathing suits. I already have a workout routine, but I need to know some good exercises for my butt, and thighs. I'm skinny in all other areas, but it's just my butt is like kinda big. This is kind of gross to explain but it kind of overlaps the top of my thighs. My thighs aren't THAT BIG, but I want to tone those up a little too. What are some good excersises for these areas and how many should I do? Also should I hold weights?

any way i can reduce the fat on them, or make them look slimmer?
I can not wear tight shirts because of that!
My stomach isnt even big...its only my sides!

i weigh 121 and my mom weighs about 125. what i dont understand is that i wear a size 3/4 in pants and she wears a 7? how is this possible? she looks bigger then me when i look at her but then every time we weigh were only about 4 pounds different! i dont get this. someone please explain to me how this is possible

beat a record for sit ups

13/f and im mmy school has a record of a girl being able to do 963 sit ups . so far i can do 457 and i have 6 weeks to try and beat her record. i donth ave to but its a goal that iwantto accomplish . i'll put ofrht as much practice as i need. can someone please tell me if you think its p[ossible for meto be ablle to reach 963 sit ups . and if so how should o practice adn train. tahnk you sooo much !

gaining muscle without losing fat

i know im skinny and i dont want to loose weight. i want to gain muscle without loosing fat. im worried if i work out that im going to loose the little body fat i have but i dont know any other way to gain muscle other than to work out. i mainly just want to build muscle in my arms because they're a little scrawney looking.

cos they're really tiny, like really tiny. and im almost 16, and i feel really uncomfortable in a bathing suit and it really just sucks cos im also really tall and really skinny, and i kinda look awkward.

Zone Pilates?

I'm 5'7" and 132 lbs. I don't want to lose any weight. I just want to tone up some areas that I'm not particularly happy about.

1-I have taken dance for over 15 years and I've recently stopped due to an injury. I've noticed a little extra fat on my inner thighs, but is there any way to work that out without working my outer thighs? I don't want to add any muscle mass to my thighs because they are already muscular.

2-My lower belly. I know most girls do have a little extra fat below their belly buttons. The upper part of my stomach is flat. I just want to tone up the lower part a little.

Would Zone Pilates help without adding muscle mass, and if not, what should I try? I do have a serious kne...

HI, I'm not fat, my stomach is just a little chubby. If I cut back on sweets and drink more water and do at least 100 push ups a day and run at least 10 minutes around a track, will my stomach be flatter in 2 weeks?
