Sports drinks like Powerade and Gatorade are actually not so great for you if you aren't doing much physical activity.. Ever get a taste of sweat? It's salty. Ever get a salty taste in a sports drink? Sports drinks are designed to put the sodium lost during physical activity back into your blood stream. However, there are many health risks from too much sodium.. so stay away from sports drinks if you arent going to be training.. as for juice..orange juice is probably one of the best juices to get your nutrition.. It's packed with pottasium, several B vitamins and very high in vitamin C..juices like cranberry juice and purple grape juice are tart naturally, so alot of sugar is added into those, naturally i would steer clear of those. Otherwise, measure out your juice serving sizes and moniter the carbs you get from them, ration your servings (maybe 2 juice drinks a day or so) and overall, enjoy the juice! Alot of people go up to the "feeding trough" and shovel down there food and drink fast without thinking about it. Mentally if you savor the drink, your brain will think "that's good enough" so you won't need to be drinking alot of it.. wish you good luck with everything though =]

If you try to lose weight just through drinking a lot of juice, it's not going to happen.

If you exercise for over an hour each day, it's okay to drink powerade, gatorade, or propel. If you exercise less than an hour, stick to water.

If you do drink juice, don't drink stuff like caprisun, drink 100% natural juice, no 10% fruit juice stuff.

hey!
I sorta have the same problem, I love juice so much. So what I do is I have a glass of real orange juice in the morning with breakfast (who wants water for breakfast) and then I plan to drink at least two water bottles full of water a day, and if by dinner I didnt drink 2, then I drink a glass of water with dinner. And then I try to drink one more bottle before bedtime, but sometimes thats pushing. I definitely would not suggest drinking poweraid unless you are working out majorly. Like if you're in a tournamnet and stuff where you need to be playing all day. Because its liek 50% sugar (and so are drink beverages which like to sneak in and pretend theyre juice so be careful) its really not doing anything good. So try and drink as much water as possible and throw in the juice kinda like you would with desserts in moderation.
I hope I helpped, love ya,

Yes, it's fine to drink lots of juice if it's 100% juice & doesn't have a bunch of sugar in it. Drinks like Poweraid & Gatoraide are good, but only in moderation (like everything else.) Try to keep it to a minimum because, although they keep you hydrated, they also have a lot of sugar.

I think drinks like Power-Aid & Gatorade are only okay to use when working out since they keep you hydrated & give you more energy. There's a lot of sugar in them, so to drink them on a normal, daily basis could be a little much.

Try drinking juices that are healthy for you like orange juice, or apple juice. And if you don't like water because it's tasteless, buy flavored water. It'll be easier to drink it. Just make sure you get the right one because there are some that really suck.

Sport drinks are FULL of sugar. What I do sometimes is I combine 1 part water with 2 parts of a sports drink. You can't really taste the difference, but it lowers the amount of sugar you're putting into your system. Search for all-natural fruits drinks, not from concentrate and that don't contain too many processed ingredients.

technically there is alot of sugar in sports drinks like powerade and gatorade. but they keep you well hydrated when you work out. so if you work out you will gain energy and burn off the sugar from the drink.
