Q: is it possible to get pregnant when he comes in the condom before he pulls out but the condom isn't broken?

It's always *possible*, yes. But not particularly likely. That's what condoms are FOR; to hold the semen in.

Q: 19/f
New York
First of all thank you for taking the time to read this. I almost vision myself being famous. I want to use the money I'm famous with and help other unfortunate people. I just feel in life all I want to do is help people, i'm not so sure a school counselor is going to cut it. I can't really sing well, and I have never taken dance lessons but I obviously can dance. I don't know if this is just a hopeless dream of mine, but for some reason I just see myself famous. It's just I don't know what for. NOT to boast, but i'm small (4'11") and I have a unique cute face. But you don't become famous for being cute and having a great personality do you? I am popular around my towns, just not NICKI MINAJ or like DRAKE. I live in New York so I wonder if Webster Hall would have any opportunites for me. If anyone has any ideas or anything i'd be sure willing to read a lot.

If you don't have an actual talent at a level that would get you recognized --which, from the sound of things, you don't-- I guess your best bet would be YouTube. Putting out a funny video or starting a unique channel can earn you viewers, subscribers, then more, depending on the quality of your channel. Lots of people are "famous" on YouTube, even ones without a particular conventional "talent". Some, for example, are beauty gurus. They review makeup, haul some, and create tutorials. Little by little they gain more recognition.
It seems that a lot of people get famous these days for something as stupid as a dumb reality TV show or a viral internet video. But if you have any integrity I'm sure you'd rather not be famous than be famous for being an idiot. Otherwise, you can get started on that.
I hate to sound harsh, and I don't typically answer questions which will require it, but the key word in that first paragraph was "earn". You have to earn fame. Most people work their asses off for their fame. Do you think you're the only girl in NY to desperately want fame? You're not. You have competition out there, and less than a handful of you will actually make it. If you don't have something that will set you apart from all the rest of them, you're out of luck, as much as I hate to burst your bubble, and you're better off not holding your breath for it.
Honestly, it sounds like you want to be famous for fame's sake, not for the sake of helping others, and quite frankly, simply "wanting" it isn't enough. That, my dear, is more accurate of what people call a "fame whore", and they get absolutely no respect. You can't just expect to be loved and adored and recognized and get paid lots of money if you have NOTHING more to offer than the average person. That's not to say anything particularly bad about you. I don't know you and for all I know, you're probably good at a lot of things, and you're probably even a great person. But that won't get you fame, nor is it necessarily deserving of fame.
If you really wanted to help people, you're better off using your time more wisely pursuing something more practical, like being a school counselor.
However, if it's something you really want to pursue, your first order of business is finding what you even want to be recognized for, but I think you already know that. After all, when you look for "opportunities", what exactly are you expecting? You need to have an idea of what you want to do. Next is to enter competitions for it, meet people with connections, get an agent, etc (again, depending on what that area of specialty is). Furthermore:
1.) Don't expect to be the next Nicki Minaj or Drake. I'm all for "reaching for the stars" but you need to be realistiic sometimes and lower your expectations. Most extraordinarily talented people out there never even see that much fame in their lifetimes.
2.) Don't pay anyone any money. A lot of times with modeling, for example, there are a lot of people who scam hopeful models by setting up fake agency appointments, taking pictures, etc and making the "model" pay, only to never hear from them again. If someone wants to hire you or see what you've got to be a model/actress/etc, THEY are the ones looking for something, not the other way around. Theoretically, you're the one offering them something, so you have no reason to ever pay someone up front. If they ask you to, it's probably a scam.
3.) Don't do anything you're not comfortable with. Ever. Some girls will do anything for fame, be it sell their self-respect of values for a chance at being loved, and it's not worth it. And it certainly won't even get you the kind of fame you're hoping for.

Q: do cold drinks lessen the flow of blood during periods?
Nope. Whatever you drink isn't going in the same place your period is coming out of, sorry. Not to mention, if it's going in your body it won't stay cold for long anyway. If anything, though, cold stuff might make your cramps a bit worse, or at least in my experience.

Q: Their looks just look average to me. If anything, above average, but if I saw one of them on the street I wouldn't be like "wow, he is so hot!" I'd just see them as just some regular guy. Not ugly or anything, though.
Celebrities I do find attractive are people like Andrew VanWyngarden (MGMT), David Bowie (when he was younger, without the makeup), and Syd Barrett (when he was young). I don't know, personality really makes me attracted to a guy, too. Channing Tatum and Ryan Gosling just seem like typical guys, so maybe that's what I don't find attractive. They don't seem like they'd be interesting to talk to, and wouldn't really care about worldly issues and what not. They just seem like everyone else, and that's not attractive.
But if I saw a guy that looked like Syd Barrett did I'd be led to think there's more to him than just his looks. I don't know.. is this weird? I slightly see what girls find attractive about Ryan Gosling but especially with Channing Tatum I just don't feel anything. He has a hot body, don't get me wrong, but that's not enough for me to really like a guy, if that makes sense. I'm not that shallow
I don't think I'm gay though, cause I've only crushed on guys. It's just strange cause these are guys that apparently soo many other girls find attractive. Maybe I just like weird guys cause I'm weird myself? haha. Cause sometimes I'll see a guy (not a celeb) and at first he won't physically appeal to me, but once I get to know him and I like his personality then suddenly I start seeing him in a different way, like I'm suddenly aware of his hotness, haha

Q: Ive been a cutter for nearly a year and my parents found out last month.Im still cutting and going to therapy.if anything its gotten worse and i dont want to stop but i want my privelages back.i know youll all probably say just stop and thats so bad for you but it helps me a lot.how can i convince my parents to trust me again and let me continue becouse it helps me deal with life?
I know this isn't what you wanna hear, but it isn't helping you deal with life, it's doing the complete opposite and giving you a way of escaping life, and ignoring it. Taking your pain out on yourself is NOT facing your problems.
If your parents love you (and clearly they do), they will NOT let you continue to cut, no matter what. If your parents were on drugs, would you let them continue to use because they said it made them feel good? If your parents liked burning themselves or putting their hands in a fire because the burning sensation gave them a rush, would you sit back & watch? I doubt you would, because no one wants to see a loved one in pain. You can't ask your parents to do that.
Like I said, I know this isn't what you want to hear but you'll thank them eventually. Until that time comes, I hope you get better soon & find other ways to deal with your emotions. Give the therapy a chance to help, don't just dismiss it. One thing they might help you with is channeling that pain & frustration & motivation to hurt yourself into something productive that will make you feel good about yourself (e.g. painting, competing in a sport, playing an instrument, etc). Not only will you be doing something to distract yourself from cutting, but you'll be actively relieving some pain & hopefully reduce the urge to even want to cut.

Q: A week ago, a bracket at the end of my mouth fell off. My dad tried to clip off the extra wire, but it ended up getting bent downwards. We tried calling my orthodontics to set up an appointment to fix it, but they said to wait until my next check-up (which isn't for another month or so). Earlier today, I noticed that the piece of wire was gone. I don't know when it fell off; the last time I know that it was still there was Monday or Tuesday of last week. I'm really scared because I think that I might have swallowed it. I told my parents, but they couldn't really do anything to help me. Has this happened to anybody else before? And what am I supposed to do? Thanks in advance

I had braces a couple of years ago and had similar accidents all the time, and I NEVER had to wait too long to get something like that taken care of... all I can tell you is to call again and have them give you an appointment soon, as in within the next couple of days, or even just show up & ask if they can make time to fix this (it sounds like something that would only taken a few minutes). They should NOT be asking you to wait another month to fix something, especially in the case of metal and wires INSIDE YOUR MOUTH. Plus, braces are kind of a time-sensitive treatment, & even one little bracket missing for one month can make a difference; they shouldn't be prolonging anything. Like I said, I would personally just show up & ask them to fix it. You're paying them good money for this service, after all.

Q: Seriously! And, I'm not even allowed to move out because my parents will get all offended, and it's not in their culture to have kids living alone. Plus, I clearly can't afford living on my own.
UGH. I've always wanted a kitten since I was a little girl. I found one last summer but my dad made me give him away.
What can I do to convince him?
Have you tried just talking to him about it? He might see your point if you tell him how much it would mean to you. Otherwise, try a different approach & rather than simply asking him for something, try reasoning with him, maybe compromising. Ask why he doesn't want you to have a kitten, say for example he just doesn't like having animals indoors. In that case, you could ask if he might be ok with having an outdoor cat. Get me?
If he still won't let you, then I'm gonna have to agree with Matt; too bad. You are living under your parents' roof, so I think it's perfectly fair to live by their rules. Personally I think it's a lot more about that than it is about having a pet, but that's just my two cents. Anyway, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't come up with a solution you'll both be content with.

Q: So, i have blond hairs on my stomach and they don't look bad but they show up in the sun a lot and I don't like that. So, i shaved the bottom of my stomach like around and below my belly button. Well, that was a bad idea because now you can tell where i did it because of the hair on the top of my stomach. I dont wan't a hairy stomach but I dont want to shave my entire abdomen either. What do i do to make it look right and it not look so messes up?
Well fortunately for you, the hairs are blond so they're not that noticeable to begin with. But if you really want to get rid of them, you'd probably be better off with depilatories, which kind of "dissolve" the hair and you can just wipe it away after a bit. From my experience, the hairs grow out finer and more evenly than with shaving, and isn't painful like waxing could be (plus I don't think you'd want to WAX your abdomen). The only downsides I can think of are that A) it could get kind of messy, B) it smells kind of unpleasant, but it goes away, and C) it could irritate your skin if you have sensitive skin. Sample it on a small patch of skin first to see how your skin will react.
Try a brand like Nair or Veet, they're usually found in the aisles of the store where you'd find razors and shaving gels. They also have a lot of options, like straight-up creams, sets, etc. If you're in a pinch & end up shaving again, though, I've heard rolling on a bit of deodorant afterward over the area you shaved reduces the chance of little bumps, if that was your problem before.

Q: Hi there. If I wanted to have sex with my 17-year-old boyfriend of 3 years (I am 14) and he was not forcing me or bothering me with the question (actually it was me who wanted to) is it wrong?
Is it illegal if both the 17 year old and the 14 year old are BOTH consenting?
DISCLAIMER: Even though I used myself as an example, I am not saying that i plan on having sex yet! I promise!
Legally, you're not old enough to legally give consent. So yes, in most states, sex between you two would be considered illegal and he could be charged with statutory rape, whether or not you were to willingly participate. This is because statutory rape isn't necessarily "rape"; what defines statutory rape is the ages of those involved. Even if you're willing, in the eyes of the law you don't yet have the right state of mind to participate in consensual sex because you're still legally a child.

Q: i've been masturbating since a while now and my periods have been irregular since the very beginning, is the delay in my periods related to masturbating and can a person get pregnant by masturbating?

Yes, masturbating or beginning to masturbate can cause some changes in your menstrual cycle sometimes. No, it can't get you pregnant. You need a guy's sperm to get pregnant.

Q: hey! i'm a 21 year old and i got my periods when i was 13. since then my periods have been irregular, sometimes i don't get a period till 5-6 months, i'd consulted a gynecologist some time back she told me that it was hereditary , but im worried about my health? is this normal?

No, it's not normal, but I know it's not all that uncommon; plenty of girls have oddly irregular periods. I have a cousin who didn't know she was pregnant for the first FOUR months because it wasn't unusual for her to have missed her period for so long. But I'm no expert, of course.Tthe person you should refer to and trust with this issue is your gynecologist; if she says you're fine, you should be.

Q: I'm a male about to turn 21, and my girlfriend is 19. We live in different states, but have been dating for over a year, and she has a son. Before this relationship, I didn't even think of the idea of being a father, but the more we talked, the more I become comfortable with the idea. I call him my son now, because that's how I feel. Although, I've never seen him in person yet. Basically, what I'm asking is do you think I'd be a good parent to him?
I really don't think I can say whether or not you'd be a good father because I don't know you personally and don't know a whole lot about the situation. In fact, I'm not sure anyone can answer that question because it all depends on what being a good father means to you. It's great that you already feel like he's become almost a son to you, and it's great that you're so willing to and are so concerned about being a good father, but liking the idea is not enough. You haven't seen him yet, so you have no idea how that dynamic will work exactly. Not to say that you wouldn't be, just that there's more to it than that.
In my opinion, I have a pretty good idea about what makes a good father, based on my own dad. It's being supportive. It's accepting them for everything they are and not caring about what they're not. It's about listening and understanding, or at the very least trying to. It's about being their rock, their source of stability. It's about being at all their school functions, sports competitions, and science fairs, all with a camera at hand and a smile on your face that lets them know you're proud. It's about easing the pain when they're sick. It's about setting boundaries. It's about wanting to be there like a friend, but knowing your have to be a parents first; you have to ease up when you realize you're wrong, but being firm and disciplinary when you have to. You have to always want the best for them, always care for them, and more importantly, make them feel like you love them and that they are your world.
Just think about it. No need to get too carried away right now or too worried, there's no pressure at this point. Once you meet him, get to know him, and see how things go. Just do what feels right for you. In time, I think the answer to your question will show itself.

Q:
I've decided to get a weave just to try it for the first time. I just want it for my graduation. Please don't start talking about how it will break my hair off and stuff. I don't really wear weave. I just want it for my graduation day.. So which one looks better?
It doesn't depend so much on the method as it does how well the job is done and the quality of the weave. For the most part, though, a lot of times I've noticed glued weaves look more noticeable. A friend of mine always got hers sewn and looked ok, then one time got it glued and it looked pretty bad.

The nearest Make Up For Ever store is in Sydney. But since that's 11 hours away from you, so I'd suggest ordering from mediamakeupstore.com.

Q: I am virgin. My boyfriend fingered me with dry hands on the 23rd day of my menstrual cycle. He was not that deep . neither was there any kind of bleeding. 1 Week have passed since my period date. it is quite normal for me. please tell me if theres any kind of possibilty i am pregnant. Or its just because of stress my periods is delayed.. ?? please advice.

No, there isn't. You're not pregnant. You need your egg and a man's sperm to come together to make a baby. As long as a penis doesn't go into your vagina, you'll be fine & you won't get pregnant, REGARDLESS of the day of your menstrual cycle, bleeding/lack of bleeding, or a late period. So don't worry about it, especially since you just said late periods are normal for you.

Honestly... I don't think you should do anything.
It's great that you have a reason to smile or feel good about going to work; you have a crush and that's perfectly harmless. I really don't suggest looking into it as anything more, though. You're only 20 and it's not in your best interest to pursue an infatuation with your much older manager. 13 years is a really big age gap, and it most likely wouldn't lead to anything anyway. You could of course argue that age is just a number, but apart from being in completely different stages in your lives, he's your MANAGER... pretty much every workplace has rules against relationships among coworkers, particularly ones with subordinates, so telling him about your feelings or asking him for his would most likely just complicate things and create a bad or awkward situation.
Plus to be honest it sounds like he's just being nice... it doesn't mean he's necessarily into you. I don't mean to burst your bubble or anything but being helpful and asking if an employee needs help is part of his job as a manager...and the fact that he happens to also be kind to you is a trait of a GOOD manager. Nothing more, nothing less.
I could be wrong, but that's just my two cents. I wish you the best.

Q: My boyfriend and I have been dating for four months. Whenever we go out he ''doesn't bring his wallet.'' So I have to pay for his stuff every time. He never asks how I'm feeling and I feel like he only likes talking about himself. I love him and I love being with him. But every little thing can annoy me. Like he cancelled two of our plans this week at last moment. That annoyed me so much since it left me with nothing to do both days. Ever since he sexually assaulted me I don't always trust him. He can text me how much I mean to him but doesn't do it in person. I guess I'm trying to ask is it normal for me to get annoyed with him about these things? 15/female

Is it normal to get annoyed with boyfriends sometimes? Yes. Is it normal that a boyfriend behaves that way? No. He's the problem, not you.
There is so much wrong with what you described that I really don't know where to start. Honestly, you shouldn't even be with this guy anymore, he sounds like a TOTAL jerk. The fact that you're seeking advice on how to make the relationship work and analyze how you feel about the situation clearly shows that you're trying to be a good girlfriend, which is more than I can say for him.
The fact that the guy SEXUALLY ASSAULTED you is more than enough to DUMP his ass. It sounds like you think it's a problem that you "don't always trust him", but after that, he's not someone to trust at all! Like I said, HE'S the problem. I'm assuming that because you're young you're not really sure what's normal for relationships or what to do about bad ones, but trust me, this isn't normal and he isn't a good boyfriend.
Normally, I would say something like, "But if you really want to work things out you can talk to him..." but honestly? He shouldn't need to be told that he's a jerk. It doesn't matter what he says over text if he doesn't SHOW those feelings in person.
