Q: ive been fooling around with one of my guy friends that ive none for about 7 years.. were realy comfortable with eachother so every weekend lately weve been hooking up.. the first time he fingered me (not my first time getting fingered)it was fine.. but the last two times we've gotten a little out of controll and he fingers me alot...i was bleeding after and i was realy sore.. right after i noticed one side "down there" was swollen and realy sensitive.. it went away after a couple days so this weekend he did again and the same thing happend.. i bled after and im still kinda sore and swollen.. is this normal sense im a virgin and were getting kind of rough or should i be worried?

My best advice is to either be softer (haha, awww) or I think you might have to ask him to trim his fingernails.
Or have some lubrication.

Q: my period is late by a few days which is really weird for me because i usually get it right on time. basketball season started up this month & i was wondering if it was because of that. my mom said that if you exercise a lot & you haven't exercised that much in awhile, that could be the reason. what are some other reasons?? idk if i should worry er not. i guess i should wait a few days & go to the doctor if i dont get it?? any ideas??

I don't think it's nothing to really worry about. I don't know your age but I'm assuming your probably a teen.

Everythign about periods is confusing, in my opinion. But periods usually aren't always on a permanant(sp?) schedule. It'll usually show up when you least expect it. It usually does. (With my experiance *sigh*)

But if it's something that's really bothering you, then maybe you should go to the doctor just so you know for sure what's going on.

Q: What is a 'hard drive' MP3 player? Is it different to a normal one? Will it need a faster PC or one with more memory?
I have a Windows '98 PC. Do you think I'll be able to find many MP3 players compatible with that?

Well most computers have what's called a 'USB' port. Almost everything that isn't NEEDED for the computer is plugged in to the 'USB' port.

So I'm guessing that your MP3 player will work fine with your '98.

Happy birthday to your grandmother! My suggestion is to browse department store websites (it would help if that store was close to you =]) and see if you can find something for your grandmother.

But what I suggest most.. is to make something for her. No matter how simple or weird it might come out.. I guarantee she will LOVE that fact that it came from your heart! (I dont know one grandma that wouldn't love something hand-made!)

Q: you can always tell i have coverup on. especially on my nose, forhead, chin, and the area around the corners of my mouth. how can i get rid of this and make my make-up look more natural?

Cover-up.. I think it's that type of make-up that takes a while to really get down to an art.

I think that since you're having trouble, that you should do the powder cover-up. In my opinion, it looks more natural.. and if you mess up putting it on, it doesn't take long at all to remove it.

But putting it on, I'd say you put as little as you can on. Most of the time when talking about make-up, less is more. When I put my cover-up on, I focus on two spots that i think is most important.. Nose and forehead. Also, if your putting on cover-up.. then I'm assuming you have something to hide. (I doubt it ;]) So I'd also say that you should get some facial clenser, just incase. My biggest tip is to carefully run your hand over your face, to smooth and even out the cover-up.

okay i have perfect teeth, and have never had a cavity, but today they are pulling this one baby tooth that never came out because the bigger tooth is coming in above it. well more like it came out above it. but i really like it, but the things is if the baby tooth comes out ill have a gap and ill be screwed. see, i really dont what them to pull it because then ill have braces, and i really dont want them. {it doesnt even look bad. and i like it!} should i nevous about this or am i just being dumb? ~ace

Ace, you aren't being dumb. In my opinion, you're being completly normal about the situation.

But this is the way I look at it.. Would you rather get braces now or when your older? I bet your thinking to yourself, "I don't want them at all!" But the sooner you get them on, the sooner they will come off. You're saying that you have great teeth, so if you do go through with getting braces, you probably won't have them on for too long.

Well, I have an idea what you can do. Since you said that you want to "make" her something, go to craft sites and see if other people's creations will spark any ideas for you.

No matter what you make, if she's your friend she'll most likely love the present if it comes from your heart.

Well I'm gonna say what adults told me when I was little. *sigh* It might not make you feel any better (It didnt when it was told to me) But it's almost always true, and it'll explain why your best friend has been acting the way she does.

So I believe that when she makes the point that she can do something that you can do, she wants to be like you. I think the same goes for your crushes.
Since you two are friends, she obviously likes you for who you are.. and I think some part of her wants to be just like you.
I really really do think that you should bring this up with her. If you two are best friends, then I can't see why you can't talk about it. But the way I'd tell her if I was you (which I'm not) if to bring it up casually in a conversation.. face to face if you can help it.

Q: I am the worst at reading guys. I probably couldn't detect when a guy was flirting with me if my life depended on it. Does anybody have some basics I should know about?

Guys are NEVER clear! :) But in my experience, they tend to do the same things. Here is my list of common signals I get:
1) They talk about YOU
2) They make constant eye contact while you talk
3) They tend to stand/sit closer to you than normal
4) They try to touch you while you and that person are talking
5) You're the one who seems to end the conversation

Q: Okay, school is really stressful, DUH!! But this year I've decided no more bad grades for me and I'm starting off fresh this year. I'm going to get good grades, thats my goal. But I don't have the energy or excitement or whatever you want to call it to do my homework and sometimes even school work. I'm very organized. I just want to get good grades. Any ideas? I'm graduating in like almost 2 years. I want to make it the best.

I am trying to do the same thing! I personally think school is stupid.. they say they're trying to prepare us for the real world, but what they're teaching us we'll never use in the real world! But what I'm doing right now is trying to keep a social life, but put aside atleased 2 hours for school. I have a study period, so I have something to lean on when I slack off. But try and MAKE yourself do the work, and just imagine how good you'll feel when you get that report card. After you graduate with great grades, so many options will be open. But this is the key: MAKE yourself do the work.. This might sound kind of stupid, but my biggest motivation was reading "Chicken Soup for the Teenagers Soul." Some of their stories showed me how if you take something for granted, one day it'll be gone. I wish you the best in school!! Maybe one day me and you will be working together finding the cure for cancer! muh ha ha!! Just think about what you can do when you graduate.. Q: Ok im aditioning for a school play and everytime a start to say my lines infront of my teacher i get so nervouse, shaky, and i just freeze and/or forget my lines. That's good that you're doing something for your school! I have a speech problem (almost gone now) so I never got lines in plays. But I'm sure you have a beautiful voice, so try and show everyone your voice. Just focus on your lines before you go up there, and put yourself in the character and forget about everything else! It might be hard in the beginning, but once you relax and enjoy yourself, think how great you'll be! Don't worry IF you don't get in the play, they might not be ready for talent like yours yet. Chris sounds like a good person. If he makes eye contact with you, then there's something about you that he likes.. he might want to become friends, or he might like you back! I think that you should talk to Chris's friend, but don't use him just to get to Chris. I have lots of guy friends, and I hate it when girls talk to me and then ask about one of them.. But feel free to do what you want. But you should try to take your friends bus again, and sit close to him. You said that you don't know him, but how WILL you get to know him if you never talk to him. If you don't know what to say, compliment him on his clothes, his hair, his anything.. or talk to his friend and be like "I met your friend ___" and go on from there... Have fun with this one! I have a boyfriend that lives on the other side of town. We talk a lot, but this is about you and him. This is a good question, but most things that happen, you have to go with your heart. If you truly love him and willing to fight the distance, then think of the benefits: You'll have someone that cares about you very much, you'll have someone that you can hold, and all that good stuff. Q: Alrighty, well this is about that boy Jake that i wrote about before. As I said Jake calls me everyday and I like him a lot, but yesterday we were talking on the phone and hes like god how come you never call me or talk to me in school? Im sick of your sh!t I always have to call you but w/e forget it im sick of it and Im not calling you anymore! And he was yelling at me and all and I was telling him im sorry and all and hes like w/e it doesnt matter if you call me now or what i dont care. And he kept saying that it didnt matter because the only reason that i would start talking to him was because he said something. So today I was looking for my friend during homeroom and i went up to him and asked if he saw her and he just walked away from me! I dont know what to do im so upset, i left school early because i was feeling sick worrying about it so much and i could focus :(!!

Don't you just love moody guys? You care about him, and that's why you feel bad. If you call him (or even better, talk to him in person) say what you're feeling. If he starts to yell at you again, just try and imagine what what going through his head. He might think that you're embarassed to talk to him or something. And if he does explode on you again, would you really want to be a friend to someone who treats you this way? I hope you make a good choice about him, I know you will. Guys send the weirdest signals, don't they? It might be a little bit ackward, but since he's not sending clear signals.. try and make your signals loud and clear! What I mean by that is, innocently flirt with him and see if he responds. If he reacts with weird signals (if you do try and flirt) then try again if you'd like, but this don't make it so obvious. Guys tend to squirm when they get put on the spot. If it doesn't work out, then don't worry about it. You seem like a very nice girl. Good luck! and I mean that too! Q: okay i go back and forth between my moms house and my dads house. The day after i went to my moms house, my dad lost my cat. He said it got outside, and then i come back a week later and he tells me this! what should i do???

I have cats myself. One of my cats escaped and it was gone for nearly 3 weeks and it came home safely. Just remember that cats are smart animals. If it was an inside cat, it's most likely not near roads because your kitty is probally not familiar with cars and car sounds. Walk around the neighborhood, call your kitty and if it has a toy with a bell in it, shake it while you walk. If you find (him? her?) outside, it will most likely be scared so don't run up to it! Siblings! They know you so well, it's scary. I don't think you should try blackmail, because by what I read, she has black-mail on you too.. But I think the best way is to say something like "You're my sister, and I don't know why you're acting so immature. I wouldn't act this bad towards you, so I don't know why you have to be such a brat towards me" Or something like that.
