Ok, I'm a 16 year old girl and I've got this really great friend who happens to be a guy. We've been friends for a really long time and he lives right next door to me. Since the Homecoming dance was coming up, I asked him to the dance without thinking. (he's the only guy friend who I know that I'd have a good time with and we've gone to the past couple years' dances together so it seemed only natural that we'd go together again) He agreed to go with me so I thought that everything was ok... so we went and had a great time as always. Nothing interesting happened (we are JUST friends afterall) Later, I found out that he was planning to ask his secret crush out to the dance and now I feel really bad because I hadn't considered this when asking him to the dance. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HE HAD A SECRET CRUSH! Now he refuses to talk to me and won't even let me have half of the pictures from the dance. What do you suggest that I do? the least u can do is talk to both of them. its not ur fault u didnt know he had a crush and like u said, u asked him because yall went to every dance together and it was only natural to ask him. if he was planning to ask his crush to the dance tthen he should have told u that. afterall , u cant read his mind. so wht i would do is talk to him and maybe write his crush a note explainning how the two of you went to every dance together for the past few yers and u only see him as a friend and tell hjer that u never had the intentions to hurt her feelings. if u would have know that he liked her then u would have never asked him. and just apoligize and ask for her forgiveness.

Sorry it's so long, but I think I might to need to tell a teacher or somebody, can you help me?
A friend told me earlier today, she made me pinky swear that I wouldn't tell a guidence counciler or anything... well she told me she's cutting, or like that she wants to start.
Then by 3rd period... 3rd block, whatever you call it, she said she talked to a friend and said that she decided she doesn't want to cut... I don't think she started, just she talked about wanting to cut, and she said she was suicidal, because she couldn't stand living with her mom, her parents are divorced, and he mom won't let her live with her dad, and her mom won't go to court & let her choose what she wants to do.
Can she change her mind from being suicidal, to having talked to somebody that fast, or should I tell one of my teachers... I have a teacher that I know I can tell anything to. What she made me promise is not to tell anyone, like from guidence or anything.
So what I'm asking is
1.)Is she really over it?
2.)Would I be breaking the promise (I don't care if I am or not, I just want to know if I'm breaking it. if I tell the teacher I mean.)
3.)And Should I tell the teacher?
(she told me around 7am, then around 12ish she told me she talked to a friend and won't cut, and doesn't think she's suicidal. She seemed happy when she told me.)

i had a reall close friend who used to cut too. it was over her boyfriend. one day i saw the scars in her wrist and i was like " ashli what the hell is that" she told me not to tell anyone but i had to because i cared for her more than anything. she is like my sister and i couldnt watch my bestfriend put herslef through that. i actually came to this website to see what ii should do and everyoone told me that if i really cared for my friend then i would get her help.. even tho her cuttings werent deep enough to kill herself, they were still really deep and i was worried that if she did it again, it could be the last time meaning that she could actually kill herlself. but if ur friedn isnt that bad then u need to keep a look out and see if she starts wearing wristbands or scrunchies or lots of bracelets on one or both of her arms. and if u start to notce that her amrs are being covered up then u really need to get her help. either talk to ur teacher or go to the school councelors.

just because u and ur boyfiernd are madly in lve with eachother, there a chance that yall wont be together forever. i had a friend who had a baby exactly on her 16th b-day and the baby had complications bcause she was young the doctor said that 40% teens under the age of 18 who have kids, are more likely to have birth failures and probelms with the baby.. the doctor said that since ur only 15 (she was at the time) that her body wasnt fully developed yet so there was no way that the baby could be healthy.. but the baby was born and it only had a few defects but now its almost a year old and its really healthy but she could have lost her child. but to get back to the situation, you and ur boyfreidn really arent ready to have a children even tho both of you think u are. imagine the responsiblity of having one and going to school and gettin a job to support it. you cant turn to ur parents for everything ur gunna have to do things on ur own. i think u should take the circumstances into consideration and think about it really hard and u and ur boyufriendn really need to think of the consequences of being 15 with a kid u should at least wait a few years when u are settled down and are stable.

my mom owns a top solon in the city of new orleans and was rated top "3" or the state. i use the chi starightner as well, my hair usually gets frizzy when its humid out side but she gave me this product called "smoothing serum" by redkin. you should try it.i cant guaruntee it will work, it depends on ur hair type. i think u should try it and then spray a light mist of hair spray over it to lock the product in so ur hair will stay straight all day.

Alrighty, well this is about that boy Jake that i wrote about before. As I said Jake calls me everyday and I like him a lot, but yesterday we were talking on the phone and hes like god how come you never call me or talk to me in school? Im sick of your sh!t I always have to call you but w/e forget it im sick of it and Im not calling you anymore! ifu feel like u and the boy you so cal "love" are never going to be together again and u like the other kid then u hsould just go out with him because i think that he can help you get over the other boy like me for instance me and my ex went out for about 9 months adn we were madly in love with eachother. well he switched sko0ls but we still lived in the same town and we kinda just started fading. and he wouldnt call me as much as he did and then i found out that he had cheated on me and the reason why he wouldnt keep in touch with me anymore was becasue he couldnt be around me and act like nothing was rong when really everything was so when i found out about it i threw the chain he gave to me at him and ran off crying (meaning we broke up) a week later i founf out that he had to go to rehab and i couldnt talk to him for about 6 months.. i never had the chance to tell him that i wuold give him another chance since i loved him so incredibly much and i couldnt live without him. i started becoming suicidal and i had to be put on depression pills because even months after we broke up i would still jsut sit in my bed for hours and cry over him. but needless to say, this other boy that i had been good firnds with asked me out and i sed yes.. i finally started gettin over my exand got off my depression pills. he kinda saved me and picked me up and put me back on track. i will always have a spot in my heart for my ex and no one can change that.. my ex just recntly got out of rehab and i was the first girl he called. i never gave him a chance to explain himself and we talked for hours on the fone adn decided that being firneds is gunna be hard but its the best thing for us b/c if we go out again then there is a chance that i can gethurt. so no matter how much u love him, you need to try to move on because u dont need to get ur little heart shattered again. i know this is really long so ill cut it short. so my advice to you is that you should go out with that new boy and just try to make everything ccoool with ur ex and just be firneds its hard, i would know, but its the best thing 4 u and for him so neither of u can get hurt again. you will aways have a spot in ur heart for him but u just have to move on.sorry so long and i hope i helped u at least a little bit

My group of friends and I have been really close for a long time, until recently. We were all loyal to eachother and thought that we could put lots of trust into eachother...until we found out some things about this girl Cara. She had been saying bad things about all of us behind our backs. Individually! We all knew that she had been doing this for awhile and we kinda excepted it as being her. We would nod our head when she talked about another friend, but wouldn't participate in the verbal backstab. You see, she told every one of us that we each were the only ones that she could trust and the only ones that really understood her. That made us special and feel that we could trust her. WRONG! recently we found out that she had been doing this for years and giving verbal beatings to all of her so called friends behind their backs. Its not even that that ticks us off so much. You see, she always is depressed and moody and ruining our fun by being sad about things that she say are happening at home or at school, but in reality, she has a great mom and dad, and is getting excellent grades. We all didn't talk to her for one week and she retaliated. she told anyone with ears all about how we were all jerks. Than the next day, she acts all sad and trys to apologize. She says that she's truly sorry and all and we all want to forgive her. She says that she is going to change and she needs our help and just wants us back. So naturally we forgive her....but today she started talking about us and acting all depressed and moody again! We have no idea what to do because even though she is a mean jerk, she's that kind of person that you want to hate, but you miss and you want them to miss you and like you. She will also spread rumors about us if we be mean to her. We are so confused at what to do. It doesn't help that we all go to the same school, so we can't just ignore her because were in a lot of the same classes. HELP! (link)

i think ur friend is starving for attention. i think that if u ignore the "depressed moods" and the way she acts like she has problems then she might lay off a little but. but maybe she really does have family problems and just becuase it seems like her parents are nive when uve met them doesnt mean they really are. people wear disguises to hide from their real self. maybe the things that she tells u are true. i think that maybe u should go to the school counceler and tell her the things the girl tells u is going on. and ask the councelor not to bring u or any of ur firneds name into it. just say that someone overheard her saying things that were seriious. and just ask the counceler to help her out a little bit and talk to her about it. tell ur firned that u love her to death anf you want to help her but she cant be treating you and ur "clique" the way she does. young girls are always catty with eachother and are constandy feuding and fighting with eachother. i think u should just ignore the rumors and ignore her when she does stuff just act like everythings okay and ignore the childish things she does.

The drugs "I KNOW OF" that she has tried is coke, aderal, and defently weed! Chronic is what she lives for, everyday after school she smokes with her sister. weed cannot hurt you so dont worry about that aderol is an a.d.h.d medicine that people who are hyperactive take to be more concentrted in school. it cant hurt her if she only takes one a day and coke is a serious drug that a 13 yr old should not even think about doing. im 15 ive done weed aderol somas concerta zanbars and others. but i have never tried coke. you should really talk to her and be serious because yes u can die off of coke and it takes control of ur life just like tabs (extacy), crack, herion and others cacn do. i have had a friend who had to get checked into rehab for doing coke. he constanly started getting 3-4 nosebleeds a day and all the nmoney he got went to it. i have had several of my friends get checked into rehab for extacy. their addictions have gotten so bad that they really do think that they cannot live without it. i know ur worried about ur friend and u have evry right to be but just to make u feel a little bit better i will assure you that aderol and weed cannot hrt you but 13 yr olds should deffinatly not be messing around that. it doesnt seem like ur firend has an addiction it just seems like she is experimenting at to0 younf of an age and her sister has had a big influence on her. u need to talk to her older sister and tell her that she shouldnt let her sister do coke and the toher stuff. but coke is deffinatly something you should worry about. and if u find out about anyother drugs she is taking then let me know and i can tell you some things about them. i hang out with alot of people who do them (even tho i shoudnt) and i know alot of things about drugs. so feel free to talk to me anytime and i hope ur friend can get away from that stuff.

Hi its Lissa...okay i well i got my progress report in the mail today and iim failing 3 classes and passing 3 (those aint that great either) and i told my mom and now shes all pissed like REALLY pissed she calls every 2 minutes n yells at me and she's like 'WHAT THE HELL!' n we have to go to my aunts funeral tomorrow at 11 am and now she's saying i can't go because of my grades, isn't that gay? shes my AUNT! and she's also like your not going into drivers ed and never getting a car EVER if u dont get all good grades and blah blah blah its really pissing me off i even started crying. im doing better now, i turn in most of my work im just not that smart and she expects me to be all smart and shit when im not...she keeps bugging me about it and im so annoyed...and thats just on the phone what the hell am i gonna do when she gets home from work!? she knows my 'situation' or she should cuz when school started i was really depressed and suicidal and everything was messed up, now im on anti depression medicine so im doing better and trying harder in school. my counselor even told me not to be so hard on myself i have a lot goin on and idk what to do about this...sorry this is long but ah..what do i do? thanks so much!!! ur mom isnt really encouraging you to do better it seems like she is downgrading you. and since uhave problems then she should understand that and you should tell her that. but maybe you arent applying ur self as much as you should. try harder at schoo0l and instead of studying the night before the test, bring ur book and study guides to her 2 nights before the test (since ur having diffictulties in school) and take ur counselors adice dont be hard on urself just try to apply urself more better in school and when ur mother gets home todya, dont get an attitude(as much as you want to..bite ur tongue and hold it in no matter how bad she pisses u off) just tell her that you need her help and downgrading you isnt gunna help. im sure she'll understand.. maybe shes just really upset about the death in ur family and she has a lot on her mind and she is just taking it out on u. try not to take it personal and try to work with her through this hard and emotional time. im sure she'll let u go to the funeral so dont get too worried. hope i helped and im sorry about the death in ur family.
