yu cant reeli get ride of them... they just start to fade away like scars
AngelofMusic answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 7:33 pm: you get them when your body grows faster then your skin so the skin stretches. They fade away after a while naturally. I used to have some on my inner legs and i'm not fat, but i have long legs. They faded in like a year. [ AngelofMusic's advice column | Ask AngelofMusic A Question ]
live2rock answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 4:53 pm: You can't get rid of stretch marks and most people get them if they're fat, pregnant or growing too quick in certain areas. [ live2rock's advice column | Ask live2rock A Question ]
xXxpinky615xXx answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 3:19 pm: Stretch marks are exactly that, stretch marks. They are caused when your skin is stretched quite a bit and it leaves these scar looking things. Women who are pregnant normally get stretch marks. The only way to get rid of them is to buy lotion with cocoa butter in it. Other than that, there isn't much you can do about it. Also, try to put Neosporin on it. Hope this helped. Mousetower answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 10:36 am: Stretch marks are just what they sound like. Your skin gets stretched until the little red lines appear. They tend to fade over time if the stress to the area is reduced (I think!!) [ Mousetower's advice column | Ask Mousetower A Question ]
girdy_goo15 answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 10:28 am: they don't go away. u can get them less noticeable by tanning(not the fake kind) but that's all that u can do besides take vitamins. and u get stretch marks by either gainning or loosing weight rapidly. or by birth. or even by getting a broken rib. i have them everywhere from carwrecks. and u just have to deal don't be embarrassed [ girdy_goo15's advice column | Ask girdy_goo15 A Question ]
lorelei answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 10:06 am: There really isn't a way to get rid of them without using some sort of product. There are tons of inexpensive lotions that'll help minimize them. I suggest using something with Cocoa butter in it.
dinoold answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 7:55 am: sorry..you cannot they fade to small tiny white line..everyon gets them at one point or anther..self taning lotion hides them..the creams really do not work...if you tend to get them..just amke sure you keep tha aera wiht lotion on it. anathema answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 7:47 am: Stretch marks happen when the skin stretches (NO WAY!!). Usually coincides with fast weight gain (i.e. pregnancy).
The amount and severity of stretch marks depends on genetic factors, for instance how "stretchy" your skin is in the first place. The more stretch in your skin, the less likely you are to get any stretch marks.
They are caused by the elastin and collagen fibres in the skin stretching and breaking, nothing can prevent or repair that. You can use any kind of lotion you like, but it's not really going to have an effect.
Lotions and potions will make your skin feel really nice, but the only way to heal or erase stretch marks is to let time have it's way. They do fade after a while. [ anathema's advice column | Ask anathema A Question ]
charmed-cherry21 answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 7:02 am: You get stretch marks from getting bigger, growing. Like sometimes if you gain weight you will get stretch marks. And you would have to most likely buy products like CoCo butter. You can try putting lotion on it twice a day but I don't think that works as good as CoCo butter.
rainbowcherrie answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 4:11 am: When you're growing, the skin streches, leaving silvery/grey marks on the skin. It also happens during pregnancy. There isn't really a remedy for them except waiting. Over time, the marks will fade until they are barely noticable. Don't worry though, almost everyone gets them at some point (although I think girls get them more.) and they're nothing to be concerned about. Hope I helped ;) [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]
Draak answered Tuesday October 26 2004, 4:06 am: When your body grows too fast for your skin to keep up is when you get stretch marks. This can happen during pregnancy, weight gain, growth spurts, etc. There isn't really a way to get rid of them, but there are ways to lessen their appearance and/or prevent them by using cocoa butter on the area or specially made medications especially made for scars/stretch marks.
