Chocolate Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Serves/Makes: about 3 dozen
Ready In: 30-60 minutes


Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted shelled raw peanuts
6 ounces semisweet chocolate, broken into pieces
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup tightly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Toast the peanuts on a baking sheet with sides until golden, about 8 minutes. (If peanuts have skins, wrap them in a kitchen towel while warm and rub to remove the skins.) Cool peanuts. Place in a food processor and chop coarsely. Set aside.

In a double boiler or metal bowl set over simmering water, melt semisweet chocolate, stirring often, until smooth. Set aside at room temperature until needed.

In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine peanut butter, brown sugar and butter. Beat on low speed for 2 minutes, then on high speed for 2= minutes. Scrape down bowl and beat on high for 2 minutes longer. Add the egg and beat on high for 1 minute. Scrape down bowl.

Add the vanilla extract and beat on high for 30 seconds. Add the melted chocolate and beat for 30 seconds longer. Scrape down bowl and beat for 30 seconds. Add the chocolate chips, flour, baking soda and chopped peanuts and beat on low speed for 45 seconds. Remove bowl from mixer and mix thoroughly with a rubber spatula (Dough will be crumbly but can be pressed together).

Combine 2 rounded tablespoons of dough into 1 ball, about 1 inches in diameter. Place on baking sheets and press lightly with the back of a fork to slightly flatten. Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 to 22 minutes.

Allow cookies to cool for 4 to 5 minutes. Use a spatula to gently remove from baking sheet and place on racks to cool completely (Cookies will be delicate while warm but firm up when cooled. To remove without breaking, place your hand on top of the cookie and slide the spatula over it).

Sounds like you have started a pretty good relationship with this guy.. props to you! Dont get in his face about when he is coming home from camp.. you could call him up and casually ask. I'm not sure if you should wait for him to come in contact. If you want to show him you are outgoing, you shouldnt. In my opinion, if he doesnt call, he may be shy, so you call him up and make the first move... invite him to do something with you and ask when he is going to summer camp and when he is coming back! If you hang out you could try going to the movies, bowling, going out for something to eat, just hanging out at the mall, or double-dating =-]

Call him up and asks him if he wants to hang out =D.. Be flirty.. and if he doesnt ask you out first.. you make the move (it will show him you are outgoing and not afraid of rejection.. guys usually love that kind of thing) and ask him out!

Forever 21, Claire's, and Charlotte Rousse have those kind for like $5-$10. They are having sales on them for some reason.. I definetly recommend trying Charlotte Rousse or Forever 21 =D There are usually stands in the mall too.. the one in my town has sunglasses (1 pair for $9.99 and 2 pairs are $16.99) and they have a great selection! You can also try ebay.. because I got a pair of BEBE sunglasses like the ones you are describing for $10.. plus a couple bucks for shipping.. which is a pretty good deal. And Pac-Sun or Tilly's usually have some!

There are risks, but thats where people's feedback comes in handy!! Ebayers who sell a lot of stuff have a feedback number.. and by clicking on it you can see if the person is a good seller... if they are you could bid on their stuff.. because most likely they are a good seller.. but if the feedback is mostly negatives.. then you know you wouldnt want to buy something from them.
