i see your problem. but if he likes you i think you should go for it. you should flirt a little but still act like a mate to him. dont be 1 of these oh i ubsessed with you people. Mabey even ask him out if your shy get a friend to do it.

Well, to SHOW him that you like him, you could:
1. Smile at him (showing your teeth).
2. Touch him when you flirt with him.
3. Open your eyes wide when he talks to you, so he knows that you're interested in what he's saying.
4. Ask him something (like to help with your math). Guys like when they feel needed around girls.
5. Push your hair behind your ear when he talks to you, so he knows you're trying to be hot.
To TELL him you like him, you could:
1. Ask a friend to tell him for you.
2. Write him a note at school and ask someone to pass it to him.
3. Send him an email/IM message to tell him.
4. Call him on the phone. If you get nervous by looking at his face when you tell him, just call him so it'll be easier.
5. Or, you could just tell him in person.

I know what you mean it's so hard to tell them. If he already likes you a bit then come out and say it or write a note but I would just tell him if I were you because a note could fall into the hands of someone else like his friends and if it does he could get pretty embarassed.
