about

Hi, I'm Laura. I'm a senior in college & I'm slowly deciding what I want to do with my life. I love Harry Potter, coffee, writing, and sleeping (amongst other things). I'll never claim to know everything, but I'm confident in my ability to help people with their problems. Feel free to send me an inbox question; I'll get back to you!
A few thoughts I've gathered from my teenage years (and being on this site for most of them!):
1. If you Google song lyrics, the song will come up 99% of the time.
2. Dress to fit your body type, and buy the size that fits. If you're a size 6, squeezing into a 4 won't make you look skinnier. It makes you look fat when you aren't.
3. You will never regret waiting to lose your virginity.
4. There is such a thing as a stupid question, but we're all allowed to ask them.
BU 2014 :)

Okay, so I had an optometrist appointment today and my vision kinda SUCKS. There's no doubt that I need glasses and we're getting a second opinion on surgery for wandering eyes. So, because those pesky little pupils seem to have minds of their own x] contacts are out. Doctors orders. I don't mind that though.
Soo I need help finding a pair of frames that I'll actually wear. Glasses just don't look good on me. I've had them before. I don't want a plain old plastic pair, or teensy tiny metal rims. I want something DIFFERENT. Liike, shazaam!
A girl at my school has sort of like Steve Urcle glasses, but she can actually pull it off.
So any tips? What would match me?
Ohh, the pictures are sort of outdated, but you get an idea at least :]

Try on lots of pairs at the eye doctor [or LensCrafters or Target Optical, wherever you go]. Thick frames will give you the "shazaam" you're looking for. Don't even look at rimless glasses or thin wire frames. Black frames are easy to match to a lot of outfits, but a crazy print is more fun [and easier to clash with outfits]. Find the right shape for your face [squared edges or rounded edges] and bring a friend along for a second opinion.
(Rating: 4) Thanks :]
