Ok I have this very disgusting habit of chewing on things. It started out innocently by chewing on my hair, pencils but now it has progressed to almost everthing. I chew on the strings on my clothes. Drinking straws, Ive chewed through a few pencils and exploded a few pens. I'm not a druggie or anything but idk why i do it. Its like a nervous habit but it is really gross..any ideas on how to stop? (link)

yeah i do the same thing. i also have the habit of taking my pens apart in class. but what i started doing is chewing on my fingers instead. after a while it starts to really hurt and it makes you not wana do it any more, after that you dont really want to chew on anthing anymore, maybe the occasional nible or two, but it really helped me out.

shes probably being nice, and wants to stay friends. honestly its really a bad idea to go back out with an ex, even if you both still love each other. once you get back together you remember why you all broke up up in the first place, and after a second break up its usualy alot harder to stay friends.

help!! okay i dont know what to do, for about three weeks now my hair has been falling out in like little clumps and when i wash it or brush it so much hair falls out, i dont know what to do because about half my hair is already gone! its not really noticable that its been falling out though cause my hair was really think to begin with. i eat more than the required enough amount of protien so i was wondering what could be causing this?? could it be my medicene...amitriptyline? please help i will rate 5s for anyone who can help me! taht has all the side effects of your medicine, i didnt see hair loss on there but i might have missed it. use the search feature in case you are taking any other medicine. otehr than that i dont really know, worst case scenario its cancer though from what i know its chemotherapy not the actual cancer taht makes hair fall out.

This may be a little long, sorry.
I've been with my boyfriend [we are both 18] for almost three years. Ever since he started college, he began experimenting with pills. I honestly don't like people who mess around with drugs, and I've told him that I don't want him poppin pills. He told me he likes the feeling, and that he isn't going to stop until he wants to, whether or not I like it, and if it bothers me that much, that he wont tell me when he does it.
I'm not saying that I want to leave him or anything, but I don't like the fact that he hasn't put my feelings into consideration. He gets mad at me when I get mad at him, and I can't stand that. I'm not the one doing anything wrong, unless caring about him and his health is wrong.
I really don't know how to go about this situation, because it does make me very upset. When he goes to parties, I tend to wonder if he's doing drugs [pills] and I get mad. It's not like I can ask him either, because really, it doesn't make a difference, and I know that, and because he even said it himself, he's not going to tell me when he does it.
Now I feel that there is lack in communication and trust. between him and I. Am I being overprotective? He had said to me before, "watch when you go to college, you'll see how the world is really like, and you're going to experiment in a lot of different things." [I will be attending college this fall] But I know that I wouldn't do drugs because I live in a big city, where drugs are put out in the open, and I haven't tried anything besides weed. Besides, I absolutely HATE people who pop pills.
With that also being said, I'm beginning to feel a type of way because he is one of those people. I don't hate him though and I don't want to end a three year relationship with him just because he is taking pills. I just don't know what to do or say to him anymore.

well what kind of pills is he popping? good advice would really depend on that so im gonna break up into three general sections and give advice based on each, add more info for the rest of the people that will answer.
Low Risk pills (ie cafine pills): Ok i really wouldnt worry TOO much because these arent all that bad, extra study time by not sleeping etc, hardly dangerous and hardly worth breaking up over.
Medium Risk (higher chemical stimulants, perscriptions without a perscription IE ridalin): Pretty risky, ask that he not do them when hes with you and you wont have much of a problem.
High Risk (hard drugs IE ecstasy): here is what im thinking is most likely judging by your question. Really dangerous and self dessctructive. If you d leave him he will most likely start doing more, i really hate to put you on the spot like that but it is what it boils down to.
There is another problem though. He really should be more considerate of your feelings, but at the same time you should be more considerate of his. If he isnt doing hardcore dangerous drugs let him be, if it is hardcore you should be making your feeligns known, tell him you love him ut it really maks you feel uncomfortable.

you can go to planned parenthood and get it for free, parents will never know. you can also go to a store taht sells condoms and buy one, really a better option than the birth control pill, which im pretty sure you need a perscription for in which case your paretns would know.

Ok this might sound bad, but I want everyone to think about it. I want to become anorexic, and it's not because I want to be skinny. I'm already pretty thin. The problem is my cheeks(yes face cheeks). They are chubby and not cute at all. I think not eating would make them thinner right? I'm not going to make it a big thing and not eat until I die. Once they get thin ill eat regularly again. Theres no other ways to lose weight in your cheeks right? I mean I know it sounds really dumb to do that but I'm kind of desperate here. Is it that bad? nope wont work. Not eating can actualy make you fatter, i know it sounds weird but its true. Your best bet is to eat healthy, and take in less calories than you expend during the day. Your body needs certain nutrientsto survive. Anorexia does not work for several reasons. Your body contains a chemical calle glycogen stored in various places. Enough to drive your body with little ill effects for about 25 hours. for 25 hours of not eating you will see litterarly zero change in your body. after that the first thing to go is your muscles on your arms and legs. then your chest (first the breasts then the rest). The stomach is the second to last thing to go, and the last is, youve probably guessed, the head. head fat is the hardest to lose because that is where the brain is. because of this, your head is the last place your body starts lookng for things to dissolve. you would most likely be better off fattening up a bit to become proportional with your cheeks. the other problem is anorexia is a dissease, and once you start it is very difficult to stop. i have several friends that started with that mentality, they are all now ok, however one still has occasional relapses. it is best not to mess with soemthing this serious.
